Route of the sun

From Fortaleza, departure along the Ceara Coast of the Rising Sun with destination to Morro Branco: short walk to the Monument of the Cliffs (colored sand formations overlooking the sea) from which the sand used for the crafts of the area is extracted. Continue to the famous town of Canoa Quebrada: visit the artisans of sandglass drawings and transfer to the hotel / pousada. Evening stroll along the busy pedestrian zone of the city.

Free morning on the beach and departure to Ponta Grossa, a famous place known for its restaurants with delicious fish and lobster dishes. After lunch (not included) we head back to the state of Rio Grande do Norte: after crossing the great Rio Mossorò, we reach Costa Branca (the region with the largest salt reserves in the nation) and Ponta do Mel, where we come from the top of the Rio Grande do Norte Dune Rosa, we will witness a spectacular sunset.

After breakfast we continue our journey through the Alagamar Desert (formed by old salt pans deactivated) and further along the Petroleum Road (so named after the countless mining horses) until we reach the Galinhos Peninsula (a small village in the sand). where time seems to have stopped over the years): excursion with a typical local boat to reach the Laguna del Capim and the large dunes overlooking the sea (time to swim). Before returning to the hotel, a delicious lunch will be prepared to be tasted on a floating table in the gentle waters of the lagoon. At the end of the day we recommend a short excursion (not included) in a donkey carriage to Punta del Faro, from where you can watch a beautiful sunset over the sea.

In the morning, after crossing part of the sea that separates us from the coast (20 minutes by boat), drive past the enchanting bays of São Bento and Tourinhos on a mostly dirt road (time to swim and relax) ) to the famous resort of São Miguel do Gostoso.

In the morning departure to the lighthouse of the "Calcanhar", the curve of Brazil (the closest point to Europe from all of South America) and continue along the north coast of the state through the beaches of Touros and Perobas, where you can do a motorboat excursion (only at low tide, optional and not included) to the coral reefs for a dive in clear waters inhabited by different species of tropical fish. After lunch (not included) we will continue our journey to reach the picturesque Pitangui lagoon and Genipabù beach, where from the top of the great dune (short walk) we could admire the city of Natal with the lights of the sunset. 

Arrival in the famous resort of Ponta Negra and overnight hotel accommodation.
Free evening.

Free day by the sea and relaxing on Ponta Negra beach: dinner in a typical churrascaria in the evening.

In the morning departure along the south coast of the state (beautiful panoramic road) to Baia dos Golfinhos (where you can see the whales well) and then to the paradisiacal lagoon of Arituba (time to swim in fresh and crystalline water); Continue to a rural area inland until you reach the enchanting beach of the Guarairas lagoon and after lunch (not included) the famous resort of Pipa where you will stay overnight.

Day off at the beach (where pleasant natural pools are formed during low tide) with possibility of a short walk to the famous Praia do Amor, or take the boat excursion (optional and not included) for the sighting of dolphins.

Transfer to Natal airport and end of the program.
