Day 5: Franschhoek Half Day Winelands Cycle Tour:

Deze tour wordt aangeraden voor mensen die wat minder tijd hebben om de wijnlanden te bezoeken maar toch graag een "hands-on" wijnproeverij in Franschhoek willen doen. U geniet onderweg van de frisse lucht en landelijke sfeer. Tijdens de rit geniet u van de persoonlijke aandacht van uw gids terwijl u de wijngaarden, wijnkelders en proeflokalen bezoekt van twee wijnmakerijen. Op elke locatie proeft u verschillende wijnen.

NB: Cliënten moeten ervoor zorgen dat ze in staat zijn om 10 km te fietsen op die dag, Lunch is niet inbegrepen in de tourprijs, transfers alleen op verzoek. U moet in de gaten houden dat u op mouitanbikes rijdt en niet op gewone fietsen en dat u off-road rijdt en niet op verharde fietspaden. E-bikes zijn beschikbaar op aanvraag ten tijde van de boeking. Hier wordt een extra bedrag voor gerekend.

Knysna Township Tour:

Gasten worden gewoonlijk opgehaald bij de watergront of het Toeristen buro of hun accommodatie. Start van de rondleiding is 10.00 of 14.00 uur. U gaat naar een Township en u krijgt informatie over het leven in een Township. Behuizing, school en gezondheidszorg komen aan bod evenals kleine ondernemingen in scheeps containers.  's Ochtends begint u met een kleuterschool, dan thee bij Ella, taalles in Xhosa, drumming en zingen.

Sani Pass Tour Incl. Lunch:

De weg over de imposante Sani Pass brengt u naar een hoogte van 2874m naar het bergkoninkrijk Lesotho. Het uitzicht is adembenemend mooi . Oorspronkelijk was het een ruiterpad en tegenwoordig zijn het de 4x4's die u naar hogere sferen brengen. Tijdens deze tocht hoort u de geschiedenis van de pas, de geologie van de bergen, de flora en fauna en heeft u een unieke belevenis in de ontmoeting met de Basotho. De hoogste pub van Afrika biedt u een koud biertje en een lunch voordat u weer afdaalt naar Underberg.

Nelson Mandela was a social rights activist, politician and philanthropist who became South Africa’s first Black president from 1994 to 1999. After becoming involved in the anti-apartheid movement in his 20s, Mandela joined the African National Congress in 1942. For 20 years, he directed a campaign of peaceful, nonviolent defiance against the South African government and its racist policies.

Beginning in 1962, Mandela spent 27 years in prison for political offenses. In 1993, Mandela and South African President F.W. de Klerk were jointly awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for their efforts to dismantle the country's apartheid system. For generations to come, Mandela will be a source of inspiration for civil rights activists worldwide.
