Yolita South 8 Days - Itinerary B

Arrival at Baltra Airport, then you will be transferred to the bay to get board the Yolita yacht. During the afternoon we visit North Seymour to see the various species of birdlife there, such as blue footed boobies and frigate birds. You can also snorkel among sea lions and rays. End of the day and dinner onboard.

Early in the morning we head to Witch Hill, to explore its coastline and look for wildlife on the beach. You can also visit a freshwater lagoon a great place to see flamingos. During the afternoon, embark on a snorkeling adventure at Kicker Rock, home to various species of marine life that you will see during this experience. Finally we head to Isla Lobos to take a dinghy ride and watch the two species of sea lions that are found here. You can also snorkel at this spot. Return to the yacht and dinner.

Early in the morning head to Suarez Point, at Española Island, a hike to the top of this place makes a great opportunity to take spectacular pictures. In the afternoon, the yacht will take you to Gardner Bay, a white sand beach with sea lions and several species of birds. You can also snorkel at this spot, while seeing colorful tropical fish, and reed sharks and also you will get the chance to swim with the sea lions. Return to the yacht and dinner.

First activity of the day will be landing on South Plaza Island where you will see various species of land iguanas, and swallow -tailed gulls and red billed tropicbirds. After lunch, head to Santa Fe, which is a great place to watch and swim alongside sea lions. We may also see endemic species like the Galapagos Hawk, Galapagos snake and a variety of finches. After this activity, dinner will be served onboard.

In the morning, you will have free time to visit the town of Puerto Ayora for souvenir shopping. Later we visit Charles Darwin Station to learn about the protection and conservation of the islands, and visit the Breeding and Rearing Centre for young tortoises and adult Galapagos tortoises in captivity. In the afternoon, you will head to the Highlands to visit the Twin Craters.

The day start with a visit to Post Office bay, established in the 18th century by British whalers to send letters to and from England, and even today, visitors have the opportunity to send letters of their own. In the afternoon, after lunch, you will snorkel at Devils Crown, an old underwater volcanic cone just north of the Punta Cormorant, where you can spot large schools of tropical fish, rays, reef sharks, and sea turtles that make their home among the coral reef.

Early in the morning we will visit Dragon Hill, here, you will take a short walk from the beach to a hypersalinic lagoon frequented by pink flamingos, common stilts, pintail ducks, and other species of birds. You can also pass through a Scalesia tree forest; endemic to the area. After lunch, head to Chinese Hat (Sombrero Chino), a volcanic cone that forms an islet with this particular shape. You can visit a white san beach, and snorkel from here, along sea lions and penguins. After this activity head back to the yacht for dinner.

After breakfast, the yacht will take you to Black Turtle Cove to take a dingy ride and see the mangrove swamp where marine turtles, sharks and rays swim. Afterwards we transfer to Baltra Airport, to take your flight back to the continent.
