Day 1: Salvador

Welcome to Salvador!

Day 2: Salvador

After enjoying a delicious breakfast at the hotel you will depart  for the full day Tour Praia do Forte. 

Known for its beaches with calm and crystalline waters, the beaches of Guarajuba and Playa do Forte are not-to-be-missed destinations with biodiversity and incomparable natural beauty. The tour goes north up the Estrada do Coco route along the Bahia coast. Its name is inspired by the beautiful coconut palm plantations found all along the roadside. You will visit the beaches located along the Oceanica Avenue to Itapuã. After that you will continue to Playa do Forte known as the Brazilian Polynesia, where you will visit and learn about the Tamar project (the brazilian marine project for the preservation of sea turtles) and the quaint fishing village, a rustic environment that charms tourists. Finally you will make a stop at Guarajuba beach, a very well-structured beach resort, for a dip in the sea. Here you can enjoy a typical Bahian lunch (optional).

You will return to the Hotel In the afternoon after the tour. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 3: Morro de Sao Paulo

Today you will check out of the Hotel after having breakfast and you will depart to enjoy  a half  day tour of the splendid city of Salvador.

After knowing all about this wonderful city, you will be trasferred to the pier. A two-hour cruise from Salvador will take you to the idyllic beachside village of Morro de São Paulo.

The sandy streets of Morro de São Paulo with houses perched on rocks are beautiful be it day or night. You can unwind and soak in the sublime ambience of this island paradise.

Upon arrival you will walk to your Pousada, Check in and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

HD CITY TOUR SALVADOR

The tour starts at Farol da Barra with a photo stop. This place is considered the geographical limit of the Bahia de Todos os Santos with the Atlantic Ocean. You will continue towards the Tororó dam where the group of sculptures of the Orixas do Candomble and the Da Fonte Nova stadium, used both in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and in some matches of the Rio 2016 Olympics, are located. The circuit continues along Vale de Nazaré avenue which leads to the lower city through the Américo Simas tunnel, passing through the port area and across the Calzada shopping district where you can admire the beautiful building of the railway station from which the trains depart towards the suburbs. Right in front of it is the Largo de Roma, where the Social Work of Sister Dulce is located (a Bahian nun whose canonization was requested to the Vatican). You will continue along the Dendezeiros avenue and stop at the Bonfim hill for a photo stop at the most famous Church in Salvador, based on the traditional "washing of Bonfim" commemoration, marked by the Bahianas throwing water on the steps of the temple in a festival that lasts the whole day. You will pass by the Mote Serrat fort, a place of incredible beauty, where you can contemplate the architectural heritage and the Bahía de Todos os Santos. Following, you will continue to the Mercado Modelo (Model Market) to appreciate the local crafts with their typical colors, with the sea and the sound of the Berimbau (typical capoeira instrument) in the background.

Day 4: Morro de Sao Paulo

After breakfast, you will have the whole day to relax and explore the Charming village of Morro de São Paulo. Take leisurely walks along stretches of sand opening into the beautiful blue sea. Morro de São Paulo has a calming effect on the senses with its palm-lined beaches, and laidback way of life. If you walk further away from the village, the beaches get even more pristine and peaceful.

Day 5: Morro de Sao Paulo

Another day at this stunning village. After breakfast you will have a free day to further discover the village and the beautiful beaches of Morro de São Paulo. Besides lounging by the beach or enjoying the local life, you can book boat trips to discover the natural treasures of the region. Don't miss the opportunity!

Day 6: Lençóis

Today you will check out after having breakfast and return to Salvador. At Salvador pier you will be picked up and trasferred to the bus terminal where you will take a bus to Lençóis. Did you know that Lençóis in Bahia was an erstwhile diamond mining town? Today, your tour will take you on a bus journey (boarding time 13:30hs) to this charming colonial town, gateway to the Chapada Diamantina.

After check in you will have some time to relax. In the afternoon, set out for a walking tour of Lençóis. The town has the ambience of a 19th century place and you will see various craft and jewelry shops as well as structures with impressive architecture.

Day 7: Lençóis

After Breakfast you will take a full day tour to the stunning Chapada diamantina.

Throughout this walk, you will be able to see everything that the Chapada Diamantina has to offer. You will walk along the Mucugezinho River to the beautiful Poço do Diabo and its 20-meter high waterfall, an ideal place for those who enjoy bathing under the fresh water of the fall. Continue to the Gruta da Lapa Doce, one of the largest caves in Brazil. There you will find gigantic "rooms" that can reach as far as 10 meters high from the ground to the ceiling of the grotto. Stalactites, Stalagmites and other geological formations amaze visitors who venture into the underground world. Arrive at one of the most beautiful “rooms” in Chapada with a crystalline river that floods the Gruta da Pratinha. Here the visitor can take an optional boat ride through the grotto (value not included in the program). In addition to discovering the incredible formations of the grotto, you can swim amid colourful fish and aquatic plants in a natural cinematographic setting. Continue on in the same “room” to the Gruta Azul that dazzles visitors with the intense blue colour of the underground river. Finally, arrive at the main point of the tour with a visit to Morro do Pai Inacio. One of the most beautiful views in Brazil with a 360º view of the entire region that reveals the magnitude of the hills and valleys formed millions of years ago.

After this megical tour you will return to the Pousada in Lençois and enjoy this last night at leisure.

Day 8: End of Itinerary

 After all the fun in the Chapada Diamantina region, today you will return to Salvador after hvaing breakfast. Travel by bus to the city where your driver will pick you up at the bus station and transfer you to Salvador airport.
