Upon your arrival at Hoedspruit Airport, you will be welcomed and transferred by road to your accommodation Amava River Lodge. Set on a sweeping bend of the Olifants River in the far north of the Balule Game Reserve—part of the world-renowned Greater Kruger—this new tented camp offers breathtaking views both upstream and down from its elevated perch on the southern bank.
Over the next three days, spend your time exploring this area on game drives where our skilled and enthusiastic guides will use their expert knowledge to reveal the secrets of the bush and ensure that your safari experience is thrillingly unforgettable.
There is also an opportunity to experience Kruger's Olifants River boat cruise, the only Big Five water safari in the Greater Kruger National Park. This exclusive three-hour journey offers a unique perspective on the region’s diverse wildlife, allowing you to explore one of Kruger’s largest rivers. Guided bush walks are also available, immersing yourself in the sights, sounds, and scents of the wild (Guided bush walks are subject to availability and at an additional cost. A visit to Kingly Conservation Camp is also on offer. Here you will step beyond the traditional safari experience and actively contribute to the protection of Africa’s iconic wildlife. You will learn about the conservation efforts in the area and will have an opportunity to get involved in real, impactful conservation work, with activities varying depending on the reserve’s immediate needs.
This morning after breakfast at Amava, you’ll head out for a full-day guided tour of the Panorama Route – one of South Africa’s most scenic drives. Highlights include views over the Blyde River Canyon from the Three Rondavels lookout, the unusual rock formations of Bourke’s Luck Potholes, and the powerful Berlin and Lisbon Falls.
You’ll stop for lunch in the small town of Graskop before continuing to the famous viewpoints of The Pinnacle and God's Window. After a full day exploring the Lowveld’s natural landmarks, you’ll overnight in White River at Casterbridge Hollow Boutique Hotel ready for the next leg of your journey.
This morning we depart after breakfast for Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport for your flight to Victoria Falls (Flight quoted separately).
Upon your arrival at Victoria Falls Airport, you will be welcomed and transferred by road to your accommodation, the wonderful Ilala Lodge where you will spend the next two nights. This afternoon you have at leisure, and during your time in Victoria Falls you will have an opportunity to experience a guided Tour of the Falls as well as an afternoon boat cruise exploring the mighty Zambezi River.
Explore Victoria Falls town to discover this laid-back travel hub where you can visit charming cafes or bustling markets. Find the best spot to view the Victoria Falls and be dazzled by the roar of the “Smoke that Thunders”. Feel the cool spray of the fine mist that rises meters above mighty falls where thousands of litres of water plunge down a steep gorge, gouging out a winding canyon below.
This morning after breakfast you will be transferred by road to your accommodation in Hwange National Park, Nantwich Lodge. This Hwange game lodge, situated in the Northwest corner of the park overlooks a large dam with resident crocodile and hippo, boasting one of the best views in Hwange National Park.
Spend your time exploring this vast reserve, discovering secluded hides and waterholes where wildlife roams freely. Enjoy the unique opportunity to venture on guided bush walks (bush walks are seasonal), immersing yourself in the sights, sounds, and scents of the wild. Our safari hide offers a perfect vantage point for quiet observation, bringing you up close to nature.
You will also have the opportunity to experience night-time game drives on our private concession where our skilled and enthusiastic guides will use their expert knowledge to reveal the secrets of the bush and ensure that your safari experience is thrillingly unforgettable.
