Today you depart for Swakopmund from Namib Rand. Today’s flight will give you a front seat to an unforgettable aerial view of the majestic dunes surrounding Sossusvlei. Best described as a rolling carpet of unending sand, decorated with the unique biodiversity that the desert holds is truly a scenic memory to keep.
As you proceed along the coast over Conception Bay, Sandwich Harbour, and its famous lagoon to Swakopmund, you will be spoiled with yet another wonder. You will have the rare opportunity to witness the contrasting beauty of the ocean and the desert, and see the point that they meet.

For today, we recommend you partake in one of the various activities in Swakopmund and the surrounding areas. A great suggestion would be the Marine Cruise from the Walvis Bay Waterfront.
The scenic drive from Swakopmund to Walvis Bay takes about 45 minutes. Don’t forget to take a hat, sunscreen and a warm jacket along. Enjoy the marine cruise where you could have a dolphin sighting given the season, friendly seals coming onboard and lovely pelicans feeding on their daily catch. After 3 exciting hours the catamaran will return and dock at the waterfront where your guide will return you to the hotel.

After breakfast you will be escorted to the Swakopmund Airport for your flight to your next destination up north, the Hoanib Valley Camp.

Today, two lodge activities are included. The activities at the camp highlight the remarkable flora and fauna that have adapted to thrive in this arid desert region. While the area is famously known for its dramatic Kaokoveld landscape and desert-adapted elephants, it also supports a surprising diversity of wildlife. With a bit of luck, you may spot giraffes, springbok, oryx, and even lions, during your game drives.
Guests are also welcome to accompany experienced guides on visits to local communities, including the Himba, Herero, or Damara people, for a meaningful cultural exchange.
Available lodge activities include game drives, desert rhino tracking, guided nature walks, and visits to nearby communities.

Today, your journey continues by road as you transfer from Hoanib Valley Camp to Shipwreck Lodge. Keep your camera close as this scenic drive offers the chance to spot wildlife along the way, adding a touch of adventure to your transfer.

Today, guests can enjoy two lodge activities of their choice from a variety of unique experiences. These include day excursions by vehicle to the Möwe Bay seal colony or along the scenic Hoarusib River, where dramatic landscapes and desert-adapted wildlife can be spotted. For something a little different, you may choose to take part in a sundowner drive to the roaring dunes, enjoy a beach lunch (weather permitting), or embrace a bit of adventure with a quad bike ride or dune boarding on the surrounding sand dunes.

Your destination today is nestled on a hillside amongst Mopani trees overlooking a large waterhole and the vast expanse of Etosha. Safarihoek Lodge offers infinite views over the plains below which guests can enjoy at their leisure.

Today, guests are welcome to enjoy two activities offered by the lodge. Options include morning or afternoon game drives, guided walks, and upon request, night drives or time at the photographic hide for close-up wildlife viewing. For those seeking relaxation, spa treatments are available at an additional cost. Bush meals and picnics can also be arranged with prior notice for a more immersive experience in the surroundings.
