Day 1
Arrival in Windhoek
Our guide fetches us from the airport and drives us to our accommodation in the quiet district of Klein Windhoek. Here, we can take some time to recover from the long flight and enjoy a refreshing dip in the swimming pool. In the afternoon, our guide takes us for a brief city tour before we head to dinner to enjoy one of the delicious game dishes in town.

Day 2
Drive to the edge of the Kalahari semi-desert
Once we’ve celebrated our first morning in Namibia with a hearty breakfast, we begin the drive via Rehoboth and Kalkrand into the Kalahari. The rustic and activity-packed lodge where we’ll be staying, is situated amidst the beautiful red dunes of the Kalahari,
and is surrounded by unspoilt nature. At sunset, we’ll take a nature tour in an open Jeep in the up-to-30 m-high dunes.

Day 3
Journey to Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park
Our journey continues via Stampriet and Gochas towards Mata Mata, the border post to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. Our lodge is situated only a few kilometres from the park, surrounded by a sea of red Kalahari sand. This area is home to animals such as oryx antelope, springbok, hartebeest, aardwolf, brown hyena, lynx, warthog, bat-eared fox and many more. In the afternoon, we’ll go on a booked game drive.

Day 4
Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park
A day trip to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park is on our agenda today. This park is considered one of the top safari destinations in Southern Africa and is known for big cats such as lions, leopards, cheetahs as well as hyenas. We drive along the dry riverbed of the Auob, which is dry most of the year. If we don't manage to spot any big cats this time, we are sure to see giraffes, oryx and eland antelopes. In the afternoon, we return to the lodge.

Day 5
Jewel in the Kalahari
In the morning, we can take a drive into the park again or take part in an activity at the lodge (optional). Following a short drive, the DuneSong Breathers awaits us - a unique jewel of silence, vastness and untouched nature. Here, we can relax and unwind and enjoy absolute tranquillity. Our guide will roast a delicious piece of game meat for us tonight for dinner.

Day 6
Journey to the Fish River Canyon
We drive through arid country populated with many succulents such as quiver trees The dead branches of these trees were used by the Bushmen as quivers for their arrows, hence the name. We can take a closer look at this striking aloe species on the way at the quiver tree forest. The nearby "Playground of the Giants", a landscape of ancient volcanic rock formations, is also worth a visit. Afterwards, we drive via Keetmannshoop to the quirky Canyon Roadhouse, which is located close to the Fish River Canyon.

Fish River Canyon
We have the whole day to explore the area. A visit to the Fish River Canyon is a must. It is considered the second largest canyon in the world. It is about 160 km long, up to 27 km wide in places and 550 m deep. There are many hiking opportunities both at the lodge and at the canyon.

Day 8
Onwards to Aus
The route to Aus is impressive in its barrenness and remoteness. Our accommodation is located west of Aus at the foot of the Aus Mountains. Built in the style of an old farmhouse, it exudes a charming ambience. The view over the endless expanses of desert is indescribable. In the afternoon, we’ll have the opportunity to visit the famous and fascinating "Wild Horses".

Day 9
NamibRand
The drive along the NamibRand is particularly beautiful and impressive. To the right of the road are the Tiras Mountains and vast landscapes. To the left, the shimmering red-yellow dunes. On the access road, we are required to open and close farm gates several times until we reach the small lodge idyllically situated at the foot of the mountains. Our chalet offers a stunning view of the dunes, the desert plain and the nearby mountains. Farm tours are offered, which we can book at the lodge (optional).

Day 10
Namib Desert
We continue northwards along the NamibRand - one of the most spectacular landscapes in Namibia. Our accommodation today, Sossusvlei Lodge, is situated close to the Sossusvlei park entrance.
The bungalows are comfortably furnished and offer a wonderful view of the dunes and the vast plains of the Namib. We can already visit the nearby Sesriem Canyon in the afternoon.

Day 11
Sossusvlei
We take an early-morning drive to some of the highest dunes in the world at Sossusvlei. We enjoy a short hike through the thick sand to Deadvlei – a striking clay pan of bizarrely-shaped dead trees. The contrasting colours of the red dunes, the deep blue sky, white pan floor and dark camelthorn trees make for fantastic photography.

Day 12
Khomas Hochland
After breakfast, we continue northwards to Solitaire, where we should definitely give their famous apple pie a try. Well-fortified, we drive over the spectacular Spreetshoogte Pass into the Khomas Hochland. Once we’ve reached the top, it is worth stopping to take in the unforgettable view of the Namib. Within a few kilometres, we reach our accommodation for today. Our villa is built within a group of rocks and blends in delightfully with the surroundings. The beautiful landscape bids you to go for a hike through the rock formations in the glow of the afternoon sun.

Day 13
Drive to Windhoek
We drive back toward Windhoek and onward to a guest farm in the vicinity of the airport. We can spend the rest of our day relaxing in the garden or alongside the pool and enjoy the stunning view of the farmlands. We round off our last evening in Namibia with a delicious dinner.

Departure
Today, our journey ends and it is time to say goodbye to this beautiful country. Our guide drives us to the airport in time for our flight and we depart home.
