Days 1 - 3: Cape Town

WELCOME TO SOUTH AFRICA!

On arrival at Cape Town International Airport you will be greeted and taken by private road transfer to the beautiful Belmond Mount Nelson Hotel, located in the heart of Cape Town & nestled right underneath the majestic Table Mountain; the perfect base from which to explore the city.

During your stay the following private guided tours are included, with door to door service from your hotel and private luxury vehicles:

Day 2: Full Day Private Guided Tour of Table Mountain, Cape Town historic City & Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for many years, with prison tour - this is an unforgettable way to learn about the struggles of Apartheid and the plight of many South Africans which lead to where the country is today.

Day 3: Full Day Private Guided Tour of the Cape Peninsula to Cape Point (where the Indian Ocean meets the Atlantic), including spending time with the Penguin colony at Boulders Beach, driving the spectacular Chapman's Peak Driver, visiting the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and more

The rest of the time is yours to relax and explore at your leisure. Dinner reservations will be made for you at Cape Town's sought-after restaurants to use at your choosing (dinner at your own account).

Days 4 - 5: Franschhoek

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the Mount Nelson and upon check-out you will be collected and taken by private road transfer into the spectacular Cape Winelands.

Enjoy a 2 night stay at Mont Rochelle, a luxury hotel and winery on the edge of the beautiful village of Franschhoek.

The afternoon is free to explore at leisure. Enjoy a wine-tasting in the cellar, a spa treatment, explore the expansive grounds and dine in the hotel's award-winning restaurant. 

Day 5: The following morning you will be picked up early for your full day private guided tour of the Cape Winelands, including cellar tours, wine-tastings and food-pairings. You will visit some of the finest wineries in the Cape with an expert sommelier guide; an opportunity to sample and learn about the award-winning vintages of the region and even meet the wine-makers themselves. 

The rest of the time is yours to relax and explore at your leisure. Franschhoek is famous for its world-class restaurants and we can arrange dinner reservations for you to use at your choosing (dinner to your own account).

Days 6 - 8: Grootbos Private Nature Reserve

This morning after breakfast in the Winelands you will depart by private road transfer to the Southern coast of South Africa (roughly a 2 hour drive), and to Hermanus, the whale-watching capital of Southern Africa.

Enjoy a 3 night stay at the beautiful Grootbos Garden Lodge, in the Grootbos Private Nature Reserve. This magnificent coastal nature reserve offers a wealth of activities to enjoy:

  • - Guided nature walks and hikes
  • - Horse-riding (beach and reserve) - for experienced and non-experienced riders
  • - Ancient cave experience
  • - Sundowners and nature drives on the reserve

June through to early December is whale season, and included is a whale watching boat trip, where you will not only have the chance to get up close and personal with this magnificent ocean giant, but also to learn about its natural history and conservation.

We have also included a Shark Cage Diving experience - this is done in Gansbaai - the best place in South Africa for Shark Cage Diving. You will go by boat out to Shark Alley and have the opportunity to see these spectacular predators under the surface. An experience you will remember for a lifetime.

All meals are included during your stay. 

Days 9 - 12: Sabi Sand Nature Reserve

This morning you will depart Grootbos and will be taken by private road transfer back to Cape Town Airport, where you will board your flight to Skukuza Airport in the Greater Kruger area.

On arrival, you will be met and taken by private road transfer to the world-renowed Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve which forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park. The Sabi Sands is the most sought-after reserve in South Africa, and home to the most exclusive luxury lodges offering an intimate and luxurious safari experience. 

Enjoy a 4 night stay at Singita Boulders, a beautiful luxury lodge in the heart of the reserve. All meals, drinks and safari activities are included during your stay. Your safari schedule will be explained on arrival, but you will enjoy twice-daily game drives out on the reserve, at sunrise and at sunset, when the animals are at their most active. Coffee and snacks are served before sunrise game drive and a breakfast feast will be waiting when you return. Lunch is enjoyed back at the lodge and before sunset game drive high tea is served. When you return from evening game drive an African dinner feast awaits you in a variety of settings, by firelight and under the stars.

During the middle of the day relax with a dip in the pool or perhaps a pampering spa treatment.
 

Day 13: End of Itinerary

Today is departure day.

After a morning game drive and breakfast you will be taken by private road transfer back to Skukuza  Airport, where you will board your short flight to Johannesburg.

At Johannesburg International Airport you will connect with your homeward flight (own arrangements)
