The Irazu Volcano is the highest volcano in Costa Rica, standing at 3,432 meters (11,260 feet) above sea level. It's an active volcano that last erupted in the 1960s, and since then it has been a popular destination for tourists from all over the world. Our tour of the Irazu Volcano National Park will take you on a journey through lush forests, past bubbling hot springs, and up to the summit of the volcano. From there, you'll have panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, including the Pacific and Atlantic coasts.
You will see different types of forests and ecosystems we’re going to observe, as well as birds, plants and much more about the natural wonders of the highlands. In clear-sunny day, you can see both, the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean. Once we get to the Paramo, we’ll be at the top of the third highest peak of Costa Rica: The Bella Vista Hill, from where we are going to observe several volcanoes and other peaks of interest.
San Gerardo de Dota is a little known destination in the remote mountains south of Costa Rica’s capital city, San Jose. The village is set deep in a valley, but is surrounded by the towering Talamanca mountains. Among the quiet forests of San Gerardo de Dota live a variety of animals and a wide selection of birds, including the famous Resplendent Quetzal and dozens of hummingbird species.

A tour of Cinchona in Costa Rica is an unforgettable experience that will take you to the heart of one of the country's most beautiful and historic regions. Cinchona is a small village in the province of Alajuela, located about an hour's drive from San Jose. It is named after the cinchona tree, whose bark contains quinine, a key ingredient in the treatment of malaria. The village is home to the famous Cinchona Botanical Gardens, which feature over 700 species of plants, including numerous exotic orchids and bromeliads. The gardens are also home to many species of birds, including toucans, hummingbirds, and tanagers.
Puerto Viejo de Sarapiqui, not to be confused with the popular beach destination of Puerto Viejo de Limon, is located in the province of Heredia and life in this small town revolves around the Sarapiquí River, a tributary of Río San Juan, the river that marks the border between Costa Rica and Nicaragua. The town is surrounded by a number of wildlife and nature reserves. You can also take a boat along the Sarapiqui River, where you may observe sloths, crocodiles and monkeys, are popular among those who prefer a more serene ride to the rapids.

Famous for being a white water rafting hotspot and base camp, this town lies 53 km east of the capital city San Jose and is an excellent place to tour the pre-Columbian ruins at Guayabo, or the rarely visited but lovely Turrialba Volcano National Park.
