Day 2: Cape Town

Discover the rich history and natural beauty of Cape Town on this half-day city tour. Travel through the vibrant city centre, passing historic landmarks and cultural districts before ascending Table Mountain by cable car (weather permitting).

From the summit, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views over the city, coastline and surrounding mountains.

The tour continues to the Castle of Good Hope, South Africa’s oldest surviving colonial building, where you’ll explore its fascinating history and military heritage. Day 3: Cape Town

Your tour begins with a scenic drive along the Atlantic seaboard, passing through picturesque coastal towns like Camps Bay and Hout Bay. Along the way, you'll be treated to panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and the towering peaks of the Twelve Apostles mountain range.

Chapman's Peak Drive: One of the highlights of the tour is Chapman's Peak Drive, a winding coastal road that hugs the cliffs of the peninsula. This engineering marvel offers stunning vistas of the rocky coastline and turquoise waters below, making it a favorite stop for photographers.

Hout Bay: Upon reaching Hout Bay, you may have the option to take a boat trip to Duiker Island, also known as Seal Island, where you can observe hundreds of Cape fur seals in their natural habitat.

Cape Point: The tour usually culminates at Cape Point, the southwestern tip of the African continent and a place of breathtaking natural beauty. Day 4: Aquila Private Game Reserve

Your rental car will be delivered to your hotel by 08:30 so that you can depart for Aquila Private Game Reserve, located in the Karoo by 09:00.

Upon arrival, check in and enjoy time at leisure before heading out on an afternoon safari game drive. Aquila is home to the Big Five and offers an exciting introduction to South African wildlife experiences.

Aquila is more than just an unforgettable wildlife experience, it is an experience in luxurious African hospitality, traditional culinary delights, service excellence and the restoration of pride to the indigenous people and the land.

Aquila Private Game Reserve and Spa is a family-friendly African safari less than a 2 hours’ drive from Cape Town. Home to the legendary big 5 (lions, elephants, buffalos, leopards, and rhinos), the 10 000 hectare wildlife conservancy sits between the Langeberg and the Outeniqua Mountains in the Western Cape, South Africa.

The reserve has a large swimming pool with a poolside bar, serving cocktails and ice-cold beverages for socials around the 35m long crystal-clear, infinity pool. There are two dedicated dining areas and a buffet-style restaurant that serves local cuisine and traditional South African dishes. Day 5: Oudtshoorn

After breakfast, depart at 10:00 for a scenic private transfer to Oudtshoorn, the ostrich capital of the world.

Day 6: Knysna

Depart Oudtshoorn for Knysna this morning after exploring the Little Karoo.

Your day begins with a guided tour of the spectacular Cango Caves, one of South Africa’s oldest attractions, where vast limestone chambers and dramatic formations create an awe-inspiring underground world.

Continue to the Cango Wildlife Ranch where you will learn about a variety of endangered and exotic species, focusing on conservation and rehabilitation.

The day concludes with a visit to a working ostrich farm, where you’ll learn about the history of ostrich farming and have the opportunity to see these remarkable birds up close before proceeding to your accommodation.

Day 7: Knysna

Today is dedicated to exploring the natural beauty of Knysna on a private full-day tour.

Your adventure begins with a scenic ferry cruise across the tranquil Knysna Lagoon — an estuary formed where five rivers flow down from the Outeniqua Mountains to meet the Indian Ocean.
Once you reach the privately-owned Featherbed Nature Reserve on the Western Head, a specialist guide escorts you by 4×4 up the headland, with breathtaking viewpoints over the lagoon, heads, mountains and coastline.

You’ll have the option to take a guided 2.2 km walk through lush coastal forest, indigenous fynbos and down to ancient sea caves — perfect for nature lovers and photographers alike.

The experience typically lasts about 4 hours (there’s also a shorter 3-hour version available), and on the full tour you’ll enjoy a delicious buffet lunch set under a canopy of Milkwood trees with sweeping views of the lagoon — a lovely way to relax and soak in the surroundings.

This eco journey is suitable for most ages and fitness levels, blending light adventure, cultural insights and natural beauty into one unforgettable outing on the Garden Route.

Day 8: Cape St Francis

Depart Knysna and make your way to Cape St Francis, enjoying scenic stops along the way:

  • Bloukrans Bridge – home to the world’s highest commercial bungee jump

  • Tsitsikamma National Park – dramatic coastline and indigenous forest

  • Birds of Eden & Monkeyland – unique free-roaming wildlife sanctuaries

  • Plettenberg Bay – stop for whale watching (seasonal)

Arrive at Cape St Francis in the late afternoon.
Enjoy a three-course dinner at the hotel.

Day 9: End of Itinerary
