Five national parks, numerous national monuments, and the Navajo Nation Reservation, the largest Native American reservation in the United States surrounding the resort.

Surrounded by the starkly beautiful desert scenery of North America’s canyon country, Amangiri occupies 600 acres in Canyon Point, southern Utah, close to the border with Arizona. The resort is tucked into a protected valley with sweeping views toward the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument.

Constructed around a central swimming pool, Amangiri’s contemporary architecture blends imperceptibly into its dramatic surroundings, offering 34 suites and a four-bedroom home. The resort’s expansive Aman Spa features a floatation therapy pavilion, a water pavilion with a sauna, steam room, cold plunge pool, step-pool, gym, and yoga pavilion. A five-minute drive across the desert from Amangiri, Camp Sarika’s collection of 10 elegant and spacious one- and two-bedroom pavilions elevate the wilderness experience to peerless comfort and privacy. Complementing the clean lines and natural material palette of Amangiri’s suites, the generously proportioned pavilions each have indoor living and dining areas and oversized terraces with fire pits and heated plunge pools.

GRAND STAIRCASE-ESCALANTE NATIONAL MONUMENT

The Monument spans across nearly 1.87 million acres of America's public lands in southern Utah. It is an outstanding biological resource, spanning five life zones - from low-lying deserts to coniferous forests. When visiting, you’ll be traveling the land of the Ancestral Puebloan and Fremont people, who were experts at farming this rugged land and built granaries to store what they grew. Their descendants, including people from the Hopi, Paiute, Zuni, Ute, and Navajo tribes, have strong ties to this land today, leaving behind rock art panels, occupation sites, campsites, and granaries.

Stepping back in time, fossil excavations have yielded more information about ecosystem change at the end of the dinosaur era than in any other place.  The Monument’s size, resources, and remote character provide extraordinary opportunities for geologists, paleontologists, archeologists, historians, and biologists in scientific research, education, and exploration. This unspoiled natural area remains a frontier with countless opportunities for quiet recreation and solitude.

EXTRA ATTRACTIONS AND EXCURSIONS

Lake Powell
From twisting slot canyons to hanging gardens, Lake Powell provides access to some of the most amazing scenery on the Colorado Plateau. Enjoy the turquoise waters aboard a high-speed motorboat or explore up lake canyons on jet skis.

Additional Hiking & Via Ferrata
Several on-property hiking trails start from the resort, leading guests to picturesque viewpoints and other sites of interest. All trails are graded for intensity; some include exciting via ferrata fixed climbing routes.

Additional Horse Riding
To experience the pristine desert tundra on horseback is an iconic American Southwest
adventure. Amangiri offers an extensive trail system with routes to suit all experience levels.

Hot Air Balloon
Launching from Amangiri at sunrise, hot-air balloon flights offer extraordinary views of the
property’s 243 hectares. Because launches are subject to weather conditions, Amangiri typically
schedules balloon flights only in the cooler fall and winter months, though spring and summer flights are available by special request.

Air Tours
Take to the skies for an adventurous private air tour of Grand Canyon National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park or Monument Valley. Experienced in a fixed-wing aircraft or by helicopter, these exciting tours provide a unique vantage point from which to view the
magnificent landscapes.

Slot Canyons
Sculpted over millions of years by wind and water, slot canyons represent some of the region’s most unique sandstone formations with their curving, multicolored walls. Amangiri offers guided walks through several slot canyons close to the resort.

Monument Valley
The Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park is located within the Navajo Nation Reservation, lending it a unique cultural aspect. It looks much the same today as it did a thousand years ago.

National Parks
Amangiri’s location in the Grand Circle region of the Colorado Plateau is within easy reach of the highest concentration of National Parks in the United States. Bryce Canyon National Park, Zion National Park, and Grand Canyon National Park, one of the world's natural wonders, are all within 2.5-hour drive.
