Day 1: Sanbona Wildlife Reserve

We depart from your Hotel in Cape Town at 08:30 in the morning for the three hour drive to Sanbona Wildlife Reserve. There are is some road construction along the way which may cause a little delay. If time permits we may stop at the historical town of Montagu for a cup of coffee.

We arrive at the Sanbona Welcome Lounge located inside the reserve approximately 15 kilometers from the entrance of the Reserve at around midday. The Dwyka Lodge staff will meet you there and transfer you the remainder of the journey to the lodge.

You may enjoy lunch at the camp and relax around the pool or take a siesta till your first Game Drive commences in the afternoon which continues till after sunset. You return in time for your scrumptious dinner.

Expert tips

Be sure to pack your hats, insect repellent and lots of sunscreen.

Be sure to always carry a wind cheater jacket with you on the game drives especially if you are susceptible to the cool evening air. Rather have them to use as a cushion than to be caught unprepared.

Included

Full board at Dwyka Tented Camp and tea / coffee and water is included.

All your game viewing activities are included as well as liquid refreshments while on the Game Drives.

Excluded

Drinks, Purchases at the Camp shop, Spa Treatments as well as gratuities.

Day 2: Sanbona Wildlife Reserve

On arrival at Dwyka you will meet your Ranger and he/she will explain the full itinerary to you.

Commencing with an early Game Drive and ending the day with your second Game Drive for the day. During the day you might have the energy to join your Ranger for a hike in the reserve which is included on the itinerary.

Expert tips

Your Ranger is a highly skilled person with a wealth of knowledge about Nature and the local Eco System. Ask as many questions as you can.

Day 3: End of Itinerary

You commence the day with an early Game Drive and return in time for breakfast.

After breakfast you check out and you are transferred back to the Welcome Lounge where you will meet your Tour Director from Africa Explore Safaris for the return trip to Cape Town.

We return via Route 62 and stop off at Fairview Wine Estate in the Paarl Wine Region to enjoy a Master Cheese & Wine Pairing before returning to your hotel in Cape Town.
