Early in the morning, visit Espinoza Point in Fernandina, where you will encounter some of the most extraordinary animal species shaped by natural selection. Here you'll see the remarkable flightless cormorant, which after thousands of years of isolation lost its ability to fly and evolved its wings into fins, along with large colonies of marine iguanas.

After lunch, head to Vicente Roca Point in Isabela, where you will enter a dark cave beneath a spectacular arch, accompanied by the roaring echoes of the waves. The calmer, well-protected waters inside offer excellent snorkelling opportunities amongst various species of sharks, penguins, seahorses and the giant mola-mola. Dinner and end of the day.
