Day 1: Lima

Upon arriving in Lima, you will be picked up and taken to your hotel.

Our representative will give you a documentation kit with detailed program explanation. Luggage and hotel registration assistance will be offered.

Day 2: Lima

CITY TOUR + LARCO HERRERA MUSEUM - Private

You will be driven to the Plaza Mayor, where you will appreciate the Government Palace, the Cathedral, the Archbishop's Palace and the City Hall. Then, you will visit the XVII century church and cloister of San Francisco, a world cultural heritage.

The tour continues to the modern residential suburb of San Isidro and to downtown Miraflores, with its Park of Love to enjoy a splendid view of the Pacific Ocean.

Finally, drive to the Larco Herrera Museum, world's largest private collection of Peruvian pre-Columbian art that comprises approximately 45,000 pieces of gold, silver, ceramics, textiles, stone, wood, with unique pieces in each material and collected by the peruvian archaeologist Rafael Larco Herrera. The museum is famed for its erotic pottery collection.

VISIT AND DINNER AT HUACA PUCLLANA - Private

Enjoy an exquisite dinner opposite one of the most important pre-Hispanic sites in Lima: Huaca Pucllana. This evening tour with expert guides shows the ruins, which are 1300 to 1800 years old, in a different light. good lighting really emphases the site's beauty.

Day 3: Cusco

At due time, transfer from hotel to Lima airport for your flight to Cusco.

Welcome to Cusco! Upon arrival in the airport, our staff will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day t your leisure to relax and acclimatize.

CHOCOLATE MAKING CLASSES – PVT

Being in Peru, a producer of many of the fine cacao varieties in the world, learn all the steps to make chocolate, from harvest of the cacao in a plantation to the production of a chocolate bar. You will roast the cacao beans, peel them and grind them to produce a paste. This cacao paste was used to prepare the first known cacao drink, the traditional hot chocolate. You will be able to take your own chocolate home.

Day 4: Cusco

MORNING HALF DAY KAYAK or STAND UP PADDLE with SNACK (Private).

You will be picked up from your hotel for the trip to Lake Piuray, where your day of sports and adventure begins. First, choose between stand-up paddle or kayak. Then you will be given a safety talk and practice paddling techniques on dry land. Once on the water you will get to know your board before the activities begin. While you are on the lake you can appreciate the area's spectacular scenery. At the end of your water borne experience, enjoy a snack in the open air surrounded by natural beauty.

HALF DAY HORSE BACK RIDING CUSCO NEARBY RUINS-CRIOLLOS

A special time on horseback. The excursion starts at Sacsayhuaman, Inca ruins notable for their enormous stone walls and a fine view of the city of Cusco. You ride off in the direction of the Kenko archaeological site, to enjoy the beautiful scenery and learn more about our Inca past. The excursion continues with visits to two important religious centres: Puca Pucara and Tambomachay, where there will also be an interesting guided tour, before you finally board the bus for the return trip to Cusco.

Day 5: Machu Picchu Pueblo

HALF DAY VIA FERRATA + ZIP LINE

A special adventure in the sacred valley, with amazing views, during a 30-40 minutes hike, easy and with protected climbing equipped for more safety to get the first line. The lines have between 100 and 500 meter, for a 2000 meter total.

Afternoon Vistadome train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes.

Day 6: Cusco

GUIDED TOUR TO MACHU PICCHU (lunch not included)

A visit to one of the most important tourist destinations in the world: Machu Picchu. The excursion starts with a train trip to the town of Aguas Calientes, also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo.

The natural beauty of the surroundings makes the train the best way to start your visit. When you arrive, you will start the ascent to the ruins, which will without a doubt be one of your most unforgettable experiences. At Machu Picchu, you can see one of the Seven Modern Wonders of the World and take some impressive photos. Then it is back down to Aguas Calientes for lunch in a local restaurant. Finally, you board the expedition train for the return journey and transfer to your hotel.

Departing from Cusco in the morning, crossing the Altiplano towards Puno and discovering the brilliant beauty of Lake Titicaca. Visit the Sumbay Caves, which house the rock art of the first humans who inhabited the Peruvian sierra, before arriving at the volcanic "White City" of Arequipa.

Day 9: Colca Canyon

Disembarkation for Colca extension (end of services by Andean Explorer train)

You will arrive to the Colca station in the Belmond Andean Explorer train. Upon your arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel, where you will enjoy a delicious lunch. Then, you will have the afternoon at leisure to enjoy the hotel’s facilities.

Day 10: Colca Canyon

You will head towards the Cross of the Condor, the best location to admire the Colca Canyon and -if weather allows it- you will get the chance to observe the majestic flight of the condors. On your way back, you will visit the colorful towns of Pinchollo and Maca, before arriving at Chivay, where you will have lunch. Then, you will have the afternoon at leisure to enjoy the hotel’s optional activities or to take a walk through the Uyo Uyo ruins. Finally, you will return to your hotel in Arequipa to enjoy dinner and rest.

Day 11: Arequipa

Buffet breakfast.

The excursion starts at the meeting point in the cloisters of the Jesuit Church, then takes in the Main Square and the city's most important streets. On the way, you will see the façade of the church of the Third Order of San Francisco, and its beautiful courtyard planted with jacaranda trees. Then on to Santa Catalina Convent, founded in 1580, with its cloisters, picturesque streets and plazas that remain the same as they were centuries ago. You will also learn about the lives of the select group of nuns who lived there. Afterwards, the neighborhood of El Solar to see the Jesuit church, the oldest and most important example of religious architecture employing sillar.

Day 12: End of Itinerary

Buffet breakfast.

At due time, transfer from hotel to Arequipa airport for your return flight to Lima.
