Day 1 - Bogotá: The Gateway to Colombia
Upon arrival at El Dorado International Airport, a member of the Metropolitan Touring team will meet you and accompany you on a private transfer to your hotel in Bogotá. During the drive, your guide will provide an introduction to the city, assist with hotel check-in and share itinerary details along with contact information for 24-hour assistance.
With nearly eight million residents, Bogotá is Colombia’s main political, economic and cultural hub. Its international airport and strategic location make it an important gateway to destinations across the country. The city offers a dynamic urban atmosphere, diverse dining options, outdoor cafés, nightlife and international shopping.

Day 2 - The Capital through flavors, history, and art
This day focuses on daily life and historical heritage. The experience begins at a traditional market square in Bogotá, where you will encounter a wide variety of flowers, exotic fruits, local produce and typical foods. During the visit, you’ll enjoy tastings that offer insight into local flavors and traditions.
The tour continues in La Candelaria, the historic heart of the city. A guided walk takes you through colonial streets and into the Plaza de Bolívar, surrounded by landmarks such as the Primary Cathedral, the Palace of Justice, the National Capitol and other important buildings that reflect Colombia’s political history.
The experience includes a visit to the Gold Museum, home to the world’s largest collection of pre-Columbian gold artifacts, and the Botero Museum, showcasing works by renowned Colombian artist Fernando Botero alongside pieces from his personal international art collection.
Lunch is included at a local restaurant.
Day 3 - The Salt Cathedral and its cultural legacy
A panoramic drive leads north across the high plains to Zipaquirá, Colombia’s historic salt mining town. Here you will explore the Salt Cathedral, an impressive underground structure carved inside an active salt mine formed millions of years ago. Beyond its architectural value, the cathedral remains an important pilgrimage site for the local community.
The visit continues with a brief walk through the historic center of Zipaquirá, including its main square, before returning to Bogotá.
Lunch is included at a local restaurant.
Day 4 – Departure
At the scheduled time, your guide will accompany you on a private transfer from the hotel to El Dorado International Airport and provide assistance with airline check-in for your onward journey.

A 5-star accommodation upgrade is available at AC Hotel Bogotá Zona T and Sofitel Bogotá Victoria Regia, subject to availability and an additional charge.
The order of activities is suggested and may vary due to operational considerations.
Transfers include one suitcase per person up to 50 lbs (approximately 23 kg) and one carryon bag. Additional luggage may incur an additional charge.
The Gold Museum is closed on Mondays; the Botero Museum is closed on Tuesdays.
Shorts and short skirts are not permitted when visiting churches.
