Day 3: Cape Town

Depart Cape Town along the Atlantic Seaboard through some of Cape Town’s beautiful seaside towns such as Sea Point, Camps Bay & Clifton. Magnificent photo opportunities arise as you pass by Llandudno through to Hout Bay; a small fishing town snugged into a bay of Rocky Mountains. Drive around the bay & through to Chapman’s Peak, one of the country’s most spectacular coastal sites as the sheer cliffs of the mountain meet the ocean. Further around the mountain as if appearing from no-where the longest beach in the Cape appears in front of you with spectacular views of these sandy shores.

As we enter the Cape of Good Hope National Park, nature becomes abundant with rocky shores, unique vegetation, indigenous birds & views to die for. Animals that call this park home are those such as Cape Mountain Zebra, Ostrich, Eland, Bontebok & Baboon. Once reaching the Point, choose to either climb or ride by funicular to where the lighthouse stands. With sandy white beaches & shipwrecks below the views of False Bay seem out of this world – this fairy-tale spot will have you captivated for at least an hour. On our way out, a must-see visit to the Cape of Good Hope allows another photo opportunity – the most South Western point of Africa.

Our lunch stop is a gourmet affair, located in the home of a local chef using local products and creating an art of each plate. This paired meal is about a 3 hour experience and a set menu.

After lunch, visit the African Penguins at Boulders Beach & stroll through the naval village of Simonstown. Driving along the coast, direction Cape Town, take in the views of the ocean & seaside towns such as St James & Muizenberg.

A botanical enthusiast? Add in some time at the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens – walk through the magnificent gardens set at foot of Table Mountain before finishing the day back in the city. In the summer months from November – March the botanical gardens hose various evening conserts where guests picnic on the grass and enjoy the live music. If this is of interest let us know and we can add this to the end of your day. (extra cost)

Start or end your day with a beautiful scenic helicopter flip over the Peninsula, giving you a bird’s eye view of where you will be driving through the day. (optional & at an extra cost)

At the end of the day your guide will set up a sunset drink in a very special location - a special way to end your day on the Cape Peninsula (weather permitting)
