Arrive in Johannesburg at OR Tambo International Airport where a Giltedge DMC Representative will meet guests and escort them to their onward flight departure on one of the following flights to Livingstone: South African Airways OR British Airways On arrival at Livingstone Airport, guests will be met by with cool towels and escorted to their waiting vehicles for the short 15 minute transfer to the Hotel (smaller groups have the option of a river taxi transfer). On arrival at the hotel, guests will be met by a local choir whilst welcome drinks are served.
LUNCH: At your hotel overlooking the tranquil Zambezi River
Afternoon helicopter fights over the falls – depart from the hotel or perhaps for those wanting to relax, enjoy high tea in the lounge.
DINNER: Late afternoon, guests will depart for a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River, before returning to the hotel for a relaxing barbeque night at the Kingfisher outdoor venue (weather permitting) - it offers a private bar and overlooks it’s very own pond with the lilting sound of frogs croaking into the open skills filled with bright African stars. A local band will provide background music and entertainment will include fire dancers.

This morning a walking tour of the Falls (approx. 2,5 hours) - staggered departures from 09h00. Maximum number per guide is 10 guests owing to narrow paths around the falls. The walk also takes guests past the local craft market at the entrance to the Falls for some local souvenirs. Discover how the Falls were formed and what local customs and traditions surround them. Witness the majestic Victoria Falls whilst standing amidst the spray and mist.

DINNER: Imagine a delightful dinner beginning with a refreshing sundowner on The Royal Sun Deck, while watching the magnificent views of the smoke that thunders, just meters away from you. Then saunter over to your elegant table setting on our lawns, where you will dine in style under the stars. Guests are treated to an indulgent evening, pampered by our caring staff and will dine on your selection of one of our sumptuous menus., with a skyline of twinkling stars. Zebra and Giraffes may pass by to just check on how things are going before retiring into the night






After an early breakfast, guests will depart for a fun filled day in the Chobe National Park (Botswana).
The Chobe National Park in Botswana is only a 1¾-hour drive from Livingstone. It is one of the greatest game reserves in southern Africa and famous for the number of elephant that live there. The Chobe River flows lazily through the Caprivi flood plains and provides a haven for huge herds of buffalo and elephant, zebra, wildebeest and impala which are followed closely by predators including lion, hyena, the elusive leopard and the odd pack of the now rare wild dog. The bird life in particular is exceptional.

Afternoon: Game Drive in the Chobe National Park
DINNER: Dinner at The Boma - an outdoor venue located between our two properties: the Zambezi Sun and the Royal Livingstone at a five minute walk from either property. Set up in a Traditional African Village style, this is the perfect private venue for a traditional African night. This venue with its blazing bonfire under the crisp African Sky, together with a choice of African and International Dishes and Traditional Entertainment (optional and recommended) would add an unforgettable experience to the groups stay in Zambia. – a marimba band, African dancers, and face painting (may not be exclusive use for smaller groups).



After a leisurely breakfast, guests will depart late morning for the river’s edge to board your thrilling jet boat ride (4x4 on water) 10 km’s up the Zambezi River for you Elephant interaction.
On arrival a once in a lifetime insight into these gentle giants.
LUNCH: Guests are invited to enjoy a delicious picnic lunch on the banks of the Zambezi River in the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park while enjoying scenic views across the Zambezi River and lunching alongside a few of these special elephants. This activity promises to be a truly memorable experience. Photographic opportunities with the elephants available.
Each elephant is under the charge of an experienced handler, who is familiar with the characteristics and behavioural patterns of these elephants. Zambezi Elephant Trails practices only positive reinforcement training techniques. Return to your hotel after lunch.
Afternoon: Leisure or enjoy one of the optional activities you may have missed on Day 2.
DINNER: Farewell dinner on The Royal Livingstone Express Train. Late afternoon departure as you watch the sunset on the bridge overlooking the Falls. Trundle along under steam as you dine in style in one of the elegant dining cars, on this historic train which has been lovingly restored. Returning after dark to the siding.
