LWC 2026 - Amakhala Game Reserve Woodbury Tented Camp (3 Star)

You are collected from Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) Airport / your hotel in town for a road transfer of approximately an hour to the lodge. 

On arrival you will be met and transferred to Woodbury Tented Camp in Amakhala Game Reserve. Settle in and relax until the afternoon when it is time to board your open landrovers for a game viewing experience. The game drive will take between three and four hours, with a sundowners stop at sunset.

This evening dinner will be taken at the lodge restaurant.

An early start and as the sun rises depart on an open vehicle game drive with professional guides and the  chance to get up close and personal with many different species of game. Relax as your ranger guides you through the bush searching out the Big 5 or the smaller secrets of nature.

Return from the excitement of the bush to a sumptuous breakfast or brunch and then relax in camp. Camp life is centred around the thatch-and-canvas dining and lounge area, with its expansive deck overlooking the Woodbury plains. A wide variety of game species such as zebra, giraffe, buffalo and elephant can often be seen from the deck, while the haunting cry of fish eagles echoes across the valley.

In the afternoon, when the heat of the African sun has diminished and the shadows are longer, head out again on a sundowner safari, where you will stop to watch the sun set on this bushveld paradise and enjoy your favourite sundowner drink.

A sumptuous dinner at the lodge and then share your day’s adventures, while you enjoy a night cap around the fire.

Enjoy your final morning game drive  followed by breakfast.

Depending on your flight time, you may have time to relax and enjoy the lodge facilities before being transferred back Port Elizabeth Airport where tour services end.
