13 Days - Tanzania & Zanzibar Adventure

Day notes

Arrive Kilimanjaro International Airport. After going through customs and immigration, you will be met by your driver guide at the arrivals, where he will be holding a sign with 'YOUR NAME' written on it. He will assist you with your bags and take you to your vehicle, where you will transfer  to Arusha Villa in Arusha for your overnight stay (1hr15min drive).

Enjoy a late dinner at Arusha Villa before catching up on a good night sleep. 

Your driver guide will briefly go through the next days' plans and decide together with you on what time you would like to be picked up the following morning. 

Day notes

After a relaxed breakfast, depart Arusha Villa transfer to Tarangire National Park. Drive (1.5 - 2hr drive) to Tarangire National Park where you will stay for two nights at Tarangire Balloon Camp on full board basis and enjoy daily game drives in the park.

You may plan with your driver guide if you would like to go out on a late afternoon game drive or spend the afternoon soaking in the environment around you.

Depending on the wildlife movements on this day, your guide will recommend either a full day or a morning and afternoon game drive in order to maximise your time in the park.  

You may choose to take a packed lunch to eat at a picnic spot in the park or return to the lodge for lunch and go out later in the afternoon for an afternoon game drive instead.

Day notes

After breakfast, you will depart with a picnic lunch and enjoy game  driving in Tarangire National Park, later drive to Acacia Farm Lodge for check-in, dinner and overnight.

Day notes

After breakfast, you will depart early  around 6h00 (6am), with a picnic lunch and drive through Ngorongoro Highlands to the Crater rim, descend into the Crater floor for a half day Crater Tour.

Late afternoon ascend and drive back to Acacia Farm House for dinner and overnight.

Day notes

After an early breakfast, drive to the central part of Serengeti National Park. This drive is on a dirt road and can be quite bumpy, so please be prepared for your 'safari massage'. Depending on the wildlife movements on this morning, you will take a slow game drive on the way to Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge.

Late afternoon drive to Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge for check-in, dinner and overnight.

Day notes

After breakfast you will depart on another game driver en-route to Matembezi Classic Camp. 

Depending on current wildlife movements and your preferences, a decision will be made with your guide on the day. This may vary from a morning drive to Matembezi Classic Camp, arriving in-time for lunch and followed by a second drive in the afternoon.

You may also choose  a  full day of game driving - where you can take your lunch with you in the vehicle and stop in the park to eat while breaking up your trip and following the wildlife on the day, arriving in camp late afternoon for sundowners and sitting around the campfire to catch up on what you saw and experienced on that day.

Day notes

After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drives enroute to Lobo airstrip and connect with Air Excel scheduled domestic flight to Zanzibar departing at 09h55, with a layover in Arusha and arriving in Zanzibar ar 14h00.

Upon arrival meet your private transfer to Matlai Boutique Hotel for check in and 3 nights stay at leisure in a Asilia House on FB.

Your last day in Zanzibar, spending your day at leisure.

In the afternoon meet your private transfer to Zanzibar airport. Your flight for Dar es Salaam will depart from Zanzibar International Airport and arrive in Dar es Salaam in time for your departure flight. Checkin is 3hrs beforehand, so you will have 2hrs to checkin for your flight at Dar Es Salaam. You will need to transfer from the domestic airport to the International Airport terminal. This can be done by catching a taxi from outside 'Arrivals' at the Domestic Airport. This is a 5min transfer.
