Check in at your apartment and spend the afternoon at leisure exploring historic Mombasa. visit Fort Jesus Historical Museum, Old dhow harbour in Old Town, visit the bazaar, and the market, Elephant Tusks Monuments and Akamba woodcarvers to buy souvenirs.

Enjoy an optional excursion this evening aboard the Tamarind Dhow. This excursion conjures up a romantic evening on board an Arab dhow.

Departs the quay side whilst guests sip sundowners and enjoy nibbling appetisers as they sail to Tudor creek. The evening on-board the Arab dhow includes a delightful meal prepared by the chefs from the Tamarind Restaurant and a live band, playing popular tunes for dancing under the canopy of stars. Return to the hotel around midnight.

On Day 2 depart from your apartment on a full-day safari in Tsavo East National Park. This excursion takes you to one of Kenya's most beautiful nature parks, christened "theater of wilderness" for its abundance of flora and fauna. A professional driver guide will be at your disposal to take you to the most interesting attractions within this immense ecosystem. Animals expected to be spotted include herds of elephant, buffalo, giraffe, various antelope species, as well as predators like lion, cheetah and leopard.

Visit Mombasa Beach at your leisure for a sundowner or two!

Upon arrival at Angama Mara, stretch your legs on a walking safari escorted by Maasai naturalists. Enjoy prolific birding, sightings of the rare oribi antelope, breathtaking views along the Rift Valley and across the Mara below, and opportunities to learn more about Maasai traditions.

Rise before dawn for your optional hot air ballooning excursion at first light, viewing Africa’s animals as you silently float above and past them – an experience for which the Mara is famous. Guests have a choice of two of the most renowned balloon operators in Kenya, both a short drive from the lodge, who offer the opportunity to follow the course of the Mara River, and land in the middle of the plains beyond.

The Maasai Mara never fails to deliver extraordinary wildlife sightings: prides of lion, solitary leopards, the shy black rhino and abundant herds of elephant and buffalo are all to be found here in and amongst bountiful plains game. During your stay you can make use of twice daily game viewing experiences with the option of enjoying a picnic breakfast or lunch in the process.

Spend an evening visiting Maasailand. Toast the sun as it drops behind the Rift Valley whilst Maasai warriors perform their customary dances in the traditional brush-packed half-moon boma; spend time in the Safari Shop’s craft studio; or visit a neighbouring Maasai family at their traditional homestead manyatta.

Drive yourself from the airport to the resort where you can relax amid terraced rose gardens above its own boating marina. Why not take advantage of the Maisha Spa facility at the resort to ease your travel-weary muscles? Enjoy the luxury facilities, from teeing off at the golf course to sipping sundowners in the club house. Lake cruises are also available from the hotel.

After your drive to Mburo National Park, we recommend you relax until evening when you embark on the night game drive and stand a good chance of seeing leopard. Dinner at the lodge follows and an early night tonight.

Start your second day early with a morning game drive or hike in and around the park. In the afternoon indulge in a boat trip on Lake Mburo. The boat is a very good platform to see and photograph birds, crocodile and hippo. Horse riding is also available at the lodge if you're keen.

Rise early for an exciting hike up Visoke Volcano, an extinct volcano in the Virunga Mountains. The steep slopes of the peak are densely covered with equatorial rainforest and alpine meadows, considered a habitat for the endangered mountain gorilla.

On your second full day, you will experience an iconic gorilla trek. A day gorilla tour normally starts from Kigali at 5.00am with a 2 to 3 hours drive to Kinigi Park headquarters in Ruhengeri. Briefing for the trackers begins ` at 7.30am to 8.30am and vehicles begin transporting gorilla trackers to several gorilla trek starting points. Interestingly in Rwanda unlike Uganda, guests are allocated a gorilla family on the very day of tracking. The guests who feel physically weak are allocated the nearest groups that only require at least an hour to find.

After a strenuous visit to Rwanda, you may be ready for some serious relaxation - Arusha is truly an aromatic and sensory experience. Take a walk around the workings of the coffee plantation to see how the coffee is grown, harvested, dried, and produced into the aromatic coffee that we drink every day. Spend the rest of your day at leisure.

A day trip to the Ngorongoro Crater will be the highlight of any stay at Arusha. It's a large, unbroken, unflooded volcanic caldera is the pride of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The crater, which formed when a giant volcano exploded and collapsed on itself some two to three million years ago, is 610 m (2,000 ft) deep and its floor covers 260 km2 (100 sq mi).

End off your stay by indulging in some wellness Peaberries Therapies on-site.

Estimates of the height of the original volcano range from fifteen to nineteen thousand feet (4500 to 5800 metres) high.

This is your time to completely unwind and experience a true African paradise. You have a choice of activities from snorkelling to swimming, paddle boarding to kayaking, massages on the beach or simply doing nothing but enjoying the beautiful white stretches of beach.
