- Upon arrival at Lusaka International Airport you will be met by our representative who will assist you with baggage and direct you to the domestic check-in counters for your flight to Jeki in the Lower Zambezi, this flight will take 30 minutes.
There are 9 tents, each with a bathtub as well as showers both inside and outside. Large, very comfortable beds and stylish furnishings.
As with most Lower Zambezi camps guests can choose between a wide variety of activities, game drives and walks are on offer each day.
Time spent out on the river cruising with a drink in hand watching the animals and birds on the bank is great fun. You can also try your luck at catching a tiger fish or two. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff at Chiawa and each guest is made to feel very special.
Old Mondoro is the smaller sister camp to Chiawa, there are 5 modestly-sized rooms with reed walls interspersed with canvass panels, they are open-fronted with small verandas and the bathrooms to the side are open-air and also have great views.
The area surrounding camp is more aesthetic than those further to the west, and the game-viewing is excellent in this part of the park.
After 6 wonderful nights at the river, it's time to head to the South Luangwa to the gorgeous Puku Ridge. Although there has been a camp on ths site since the early 2000's, the camp has been completely re-designed and built from scratch in 2019.
- There are 8 rooms at Puku, 16 beds. The tents overlook the wildlife and expanse of the Puku Ridge lagoon, each featuring super-king or large twin configuration and air conditioning, overhead fan within the mosquito net, en-suite facilities, indoor indoor and outdoor shower with views, 'his & her' washbasins, huge bathtub with view, split-level large veranda and plunge pool, tower with day bed / star bed, minibar & tea/coffee station, complimentary wifi, 24/7 220v power, and international charging facilities.
- The main area offers indoor and open-air lounge and various dining options, campfire, and a viewing hide which overlooks a waterhole.
From Mfuwe your scheduled flight to Livingstone will route via Lusaka and your trip will end at one of Zambia’s most romantic camps. Tongabezi is set on a large bend in the Zambezi River some 20kms up-stream from Victoria Falls.
There are plenty of activities on offer in the Livingstone area and whether staying in one of their River Cottages or in one of the renowned luxury houses, Tongabezi is a wonderful place to relax after a busy day, watch the river slowly amble by and start planning your return to this part of Africa.
A 30 minute road transfer will take you to Livingstone International Airport where you will connect to your onward flight.
