Reception and assistance at the Cusco airport. Departure from the international airport Velasco Astete towards the Sacred Valley, we will visit the town of Pisac, known for its picturesque market. This market attracts tourists from all over the world who try to exchange belongings for local products such as sweaters, ponchos, jewelry and other goods. Lunch at a local restaurant In the afternoon visit Ollantaytambo, a typical town of Inca origin. Both its design and the bases of most of its buildings correspond to the time of the Incario, during which it constituted a strategic military, religious and agricultural center. In its high part an impressive fortress rises that guarded the access to the lower part of the valley and protected it from the possible invasions of the jungle ethnic groups. Morning departure from your hotel with a scenic drive to the agricultural terrace of Moray. You will explore the experimental Inca terraces and then continue to the salt panes of Maras.

Later on we visit the village of Chincheros famous for the vivid market characterized by its textiles. Traditional weaving is an incredibly important component of identity in the high Andes, as much as traditional alpaca herding and the native Quechua language. As a highlight of today we will have a chance to interact with a group of weavers and have them demonstrate their back strap weaving technique to us

Cusco- Condors of the Apurimac in Chonta
After breakfast we drive for 3 hours to the village of Chonta. The special location is set between the Cordillera de Vilcabamba and the Apurimac Canyon. After lunch we will take an easy walk of about 90 minutes to the Condor viewpoints overlooking the spectacular Apurimac Canyon. As we wait and enjoy the scenery the condors will be rising with the afternoon thermals. Around 5 pm we walk back to our campsite where we enjoy a nice sundowner overlooking the Cordillera Vilcabamba. We rest en enjoy our beautiful glamping location. After dinner we will look at the sky and its thousand stars. Overnight in tents.

We rise early to enjoy the spectacular mountain view and the clouds rising between the massiv mountains. After breakfast we will visit the community members in Chonta and learn about their lifestyle. Everybody will participate in harvesting herbs, potatoes and ingedients so we can jointly prepare a Pachamanca, a meal prepared in a large hole Inka Style.
After enjoying the Pachamanca with the community, you will be transferred to your hotel in Cusco.

This morning, you will embark on a guided city tour of Cusco, visit the most important places of the Archaeological Capital of America which was the capital of the Inca's Empire. Observe the mixture of the 3 cultures: the native quechuas Indians, the Spanish conquerors and the actual people. We include the visit of the Main Square, the Cathedral, the church of "La Compañía", the attractive neighbourhood of San Blas and the Santo Domingo Church former Koricancha Temple. Finally a visit to the surrounding ruins: Puka-Pukara, Saqsayhuaman, Qenqo y Tambomachay.

Before dawn, we will leave for the three-crossing viewpoint, passing through the town of Paucartambo reaching the Ajanaco pass, there is the viewpoint, on the edge of this protected area. Upon arrival you will enjoy an impressive view of the Peruvian Amazon, where you can see one of the most beautiful sunrises in the world.

Later we will go in the direction of the biological station of Wayquecha, it is a private conservation area that, due to its environmental characteristics, allows the access of several terrestrial habitats, including the cloud forest, the cloudy sclerophyl thicket, the high Andean pajonal and its ecotone with the forest, one of the most marked ecological borders of the planet.
Already installed in the lodge we will visit a suspension air bridge for the observation of birds such as the forest dozel.

We explore the trails for birds and monkeys in the morning.
Breakfast with a beautiful view of the cloudforest and its activity.
After lunch we drive down the Manu Road stopping and looking at scenery and wildlife in time to arrive for dinner in the Cock-of-the-Rock Lodge.
Very early we will visit an observation hideout called “lek” which will give us the opportunity to see the Gallito de las roca, national bird of Peru, with its bustling song, its movement, its colorful, colorful plumage.
At the appropriate time we will return to the lodge and head towards Atalaya en route
We will visit the coca plantations and learn about traditional uses and their medicinal properties.

Our destination is the port of Atalaya, when we get there, we will change the land transport and we will embark on a boat to start sailing along the Alto Madre de Dios River. This gives us the fabulous scenery during the trip, we will have gone down to about 300 meters to reach the Manu Learning Center Lodge, we will settle in our rooms and then enjoy dinner with the melodious background of the sounds of the jungle.

At dawn we will do an observation walk through the network of roads that surround the Lodge, to see birds and photograph hummingbirds, after this tour we go to MLC for an energetic breakfast, continuing with our activities we will return to the boat to continue the trip, our Boat will make a short visit to the Village of Boca Manu, a few more hours of boat trip we will arrive at our lodge to rest in a private reserve, Tambo Blanquillo Lodge.

Day 6
At dawn we will visit the Parrot and Macaw Collpa one of the most interesting activities, the observation of Parrots and Macaws. When the sun rises we will see the magical colors of the birds that fly together and perch in the surrounding trees, then descend flying towards the clay walls in the collpa, It is such a colorful spectacle with a tremendous bustle, this experience is finished at the lodge.
In the afternoon we will visit Lake Blanquillo, with opportunities to see black birds and alligators at the shore of the lake, enjoying peace and tranquility of the lake and observing wildlife.

This day we will visit Camungo Lake, the second lake with the highest bird and river wolf watching, near this lake an 80 meter high tower is located which we will visit and enjoy an impressive view of the forest with the best opportunity to see birds , later we will board a catamaran that will allow us to visit the lake without disturbing the surroundings.

We will wake up early with a second opportunity to visit the Macaw clay lick and return to the lodge to get ready and leave for the city of Puerto Maldonado. Box lunch We will board the boat for a few hours until we reach Puerto Colorado, some vans will be waiting for us to take us to Carlos Harbor, from that point we will cross the river to move to the town of Sta. Rosa where our private transport will lead us to Wasai Ecolodge in the Puerto Maldonado city.

After a pleasant rest in the city of Puerto Maldonado we will enter the Tambopata National Reserve.

In the late afternoon, we highly recommend taking the gentle Twilight River excursion to witness the jungle transform from a diurnal to a nocturnal world: animals and birds of the daytime give way to species specially adapted to the shadows of the night. You may be able to spot the likes of nightjars, owls, capybaras and big caiman lurking on the riverbanks.
Amazonian-inspired dinner is served in the main dining room from 19:00-22:00 where we invite you to enjoy a complimentary Pisco Sour cocktail. Back in your comfy cabaña, listen to the intriguing cacophony of critters that inhabit the rainforest surrounding the lodge.

The sunlight squeezes through the dense trees as jungle inhabitants awake from their slumber. Optionally join them in the early hours, with buffet breakfast served from 05:30. Visit Lake Sandoval this morning, a glassy, ox-bow lake located inside the protected Tambopata National Reserve. Reached via a sun-dappled jungle trail, explorer guides enjoy regaling visitors with their tales of unexpected encounters with poison frogs and camouflaged creatures. Board a dug-out wooden canoe to quietly paddle through mangroves and glide onto Lake Sandoval, flanked by picture-perfect palms. This serene lake is home to thousands of species of birds, the endangered giant river otter, red howler monkeys, red-bellied macaws, anacondas, side-neck turtles and black caimans. Return to Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica in time for lunch.
In the afternoon, we recommend climbing the exhilarating Inkaterra Canopy Walkway and navigating the Anaconda Walk. The Inkaterra Canopy Walkway is a sophisticated and safe 344 metre (1,135 feet) network of seven ecologically constructed hanging suspension bridges, strung between eight treetop observation platforms above the forest floor. This is an unforgettable opportunity to observe the rainforest from the rooftop and gain a sense of its colossal size. Ascend the first vertiginous tower 38 metres (124 feet) above ground, keeping an eye out for bright toucans, woodpeckers, trogons, monkeys and the three-toed sloth. It’s possible to extend your elevated amble with sunset drinks from atop a tower – or spend a once-in-a-lifetime night in a specially-designed treehouse cabin with surprising creature comforts (additional cost applies).
After descending, enjoy a 30-minute Anaconda Walk that follows a 200-meter (656 feet) raised wooden platform over the atmospheric flooded aguajales swamp. In this lush ecosystem you may observe various species of amphibians, birds, mammals, abundant flora and interesting trees – there is even a chance you might spot snakes.

With a staggering roster of wildlife found in and around Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica – 540 bird species have been inventoried in the grounds of the lodge - enjoy your last morning in this unspoilt natural wonderland as parakeets chatter away in the trees and capybara mammals scurry between vibrant orchid-rich gardens. Check-out is at 10:00; depending on your departure flight time lunch can also be arranged today (additional cost applies). Embark your ready-waiting boat for the 45-minute return trip along the snaking Madre de Dios River. You will make a short visit to a Butterfly House before reaching the airport. Peru boasts the greatest variety of butterflies in the world, with 3,700 known species. Many of these can be seen at the Butterfly House, which serves to showcase the variety, beauty and adaptability of these fascinating insects.
