2 Day Tour - Bakubung Lodge Safari 2026

Your journey starts with a comfy pickup from Johannesburg between 5:30 AM and 6:30 AM in a luxury air-conditioned vehicle. Arrive at Pilanesberg by 9 AM and immediately depart on a 3-hour morning game drive with MoAfrika Tours in an intimate 10-seater open safari vehicle—perfect for spotting the Big Five!

By noon, arrive at the stunning Bakubung Bush Lodge for a delicious lunch and seamless check-in. Unwind, soak in the views, or chill by the pool before your next adventure.

From 4 PM to 7 PM enjoy an open-vehicle sunset game drive with Bakubung Bush Lodge (20-seater), chasing golden sunsets and wildlife magic. Return for a mouthwatering African dinner at the lodge.

Rise early for a 3-hour morning game drive conducted by Bakubung Bush Lodge in their 20-seater open safari vehicles (returning around 9:00 AM). This satisfies the lodge’s requirement of at least one lodge-operated drive per night stayed, while giving you another excellent opportunity to spot wildlife.

After the drive, enjoy a hearty breakfast at the lodge. Check out by 11:00 AM and spend the rest of the morning relaxing at Bakubung’s fantastic facilities—lounge by the pool, book a spa treatment, or enjoy lunch (at own expense). Our standard shared shuttle transfer collects guests between 2:00 PM and 2:30 PM for the return journey to Johannesburg, with drop-off between 5:30 PM and 6:00 PM.

For added flexibility or more safari time, you may choose one of the following options (R1,500 per person):

• Private transfer back to Johannesburg, departing at a time that suits you.
• Additional 3-hour open-vehicle game drive (11:00 AM – 3:00 PM) conducted by MoAfrika Tours in our intimate 10- seater open safari vehicles, with lunch included—a perfect way to extend your wildlife experience before heading home.
