Day 1: Edinburgh

Welcome to Scotland!

Upon arrival a driver will greet you in the Arrival's Hall and transfer you to the hotel. Early Check in to hotel. Relax for a few hours in the hotel or walk the city, before meeting your guide in hotel lobby for a tour of the city.

In the evening enjoy Enjoy The Scotch Whisky Experience - a guided tour plus nose and tasting of the World's Largest Collection of Scotch Whisky, paired with 5 course tasting menu in the Amber restaurant.

Day 2: Edinburgh

Enjoy a half day walking tour of Scotland's capital city, Edinburgh. Your private guide will meet you in hotel lobby in the morning. 

Explore New Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stroll the Royal Mile in Old Town, visit Holyrood Palace - residence of the British monarch in Scotland, and explore St Giles’ Cathedral. Visit the iconic Edinburgh Castle, perched on Castle Rock high above the historic old town.

Seasonal Event: Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo (August 4-26, 2023)

Days 3 - 6: Belmond Royal Scotsman

Morning at leisure in Edinburgh. Meet in Balmoral lobby for 11:30am for the Royal Scotsman train. 

Royal Scotsman  Train : 2 - 7 day Journeys 

Delve into a land of soaring peaks and deep valleys, mirror lochs and looming castles. Enjoy Scottish whisky tasting in a world-famous distillery, try your hand at clay pigeon shooting and plunge into mystical lochs for an exhilarating wild swim. After dinner, mingle with fellow guests over candlelit divine dining and indulge in the comfort of a luxury train.

Day 7: St Andrews

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast as the train makes its way back to Edinburgh.

Disembark mid morning (approx.9:30am). St. Andrew's chauffeur will pick you up from Balmoral hotel and transfer you to St. Andrews (approx.  1h 20min). Drop your bags with the concierge and enjoy lunch in the hotel restaurant Road Hole Bar, located on the 4th floor of the hotel with stunning views across links courses and West Sands beach. 

After lunch check in at the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the town.

 

Expert tips

St Andrews is regarded as the "Home of Golf". It has one of the oldest courses in the world, where the game has been played since the 15th century.

Day 8: St Andrews

After breakfast, head to the course for a day of golf. club, Equipment & Caddie hire available.

Expert tips

Old Course : Play the course that started it all. The oldest and most iconic golf course in the world. The Swilcan Bridge and Hell Bunker are recognized across the globe, yet the greatest feature of the Old Course is that despite its grand status it remains a public golf course, open to all.

Day 9: Oxford

After breakfast, a private transfer to Edinburgh Airport for flight to London.

Upon arrival a driver will greet you in the Arrival's Hall and transfer you to Le Manoir aux Quat'Saison hotel (approx. 1hr30min).

Recommendation:

  • Private Tuition (cooking class) starts @ 6:00 PM.
  • Free to roam the extensive manor grounds

Dinner this evening is at the hotel 2 Star Michelin Restaurant @ 8:00 PM

Dress code for the restaurant  is smart casual; a jacket and tie is not required.

Day 10: Oxford

After breakfast, Choose from a selection of activities offered by the hotel:

Day 11: London

After breakfast a private transfer will take you to The Cadogan hotel in London. (approx. 1hr30min).

The rest of the day is at leisure exploring the city.
