Day 1: Overnight Travel

This 2-day tour starts in Lençóis and you first drive 3 hours from north to south of the Chapada Diamantina. After Ibicoara it is another hour 1 hour drive on a dirt road to the parking lot. The hike is on an easy trail for 1 hour and 20 minutes to the bottom of the Buracão waterfall. It doesn't get a little tricky until the end as you get into the canyon. On the way down you will see another great waterfall, the “Recanto verde”. The use of a life jacket is mandatory as you will literally be floating in the canyon all the way to the large lake at the bottom of this amazing waterfall. (yes, maybe THE most amazing of the national park).

If there is still time, you can visit another large waterfall called “Cachoeira Licuri”. The hike is quite easy, but you have to descend many meters to get to the bottom of this 90m deep waterfall. You will sleep in Ibicoara, Campo Redondo, a great place between the mountains, where dinner will be served later.
