Meet & Greet at Kasane Airport by a lodge representative and complimentary road transfer to the lodge. Welcome to Kasane, Chobe, the confluence of two mighty rivers – Chobe River and the Zambezi. Did you know this is also where four African countries meet? Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, and Zambia. Check-in with a welcome drink. During your stay, you can enjoy 3 game drives (shared), 1 Chobe Sunset boat cruise (shared), and 1 private boat cruise or fishing (2 hours).
Chobe’s wildlife can be experienced from two very different perspectives - on a game drive or a Chobe River cruise.
Suggested afternoon activity: Chobe River Cruise during which you can see some of Chobe’s legendary elephant population. A wildlife paradise, Chobe National Park is also world-famous for its large lion population and herds of buffalo. The highlight is the combination of diverse and abundant wildlife, birds, and reptiles along the banks of the Chobe River and the ease with which guests can get close to them is perfect for photography and game viewing. The banks of the Chobe River is home to some of the densest wildlife populations in Africa, abounding with rich colorful birdlife and the likes of not only elephants but also lions, leopards, buffalos, giraffes, zebras, banded mongoose, hippos, waterbucks, puku, roans, elands, warthogs, and crocodiles which can be uniquely viewed during the Chobe River cruises as these provide exceptional close-up vantage points for photography.
You will enjoy a morning game drive before moving on to your next adventure – a quick charter flight to your next destination: Dinare Camp
Both central areas have been built in keeping with our other properties - open, thatched spaces that allow guests to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings, whilst watching wildlife and birds from the comfort of an armchair or the bar. The swimming pool and curio shop at each camp complete the luxurious, relaxed feel for which Under One Botswana Sky safaris are known.
Day and night game drives take place in the private concession adjacent to Moremi Game Reserve. These are on and off-road safaris, comprising six people, a guide and a tracker (at night). Rra Dinare also offers seasonal water activities on the Gomoti River and game walks available depending on local conditions. Mokoros are water level dependent.
Light charter flight to the Okavango Delta,
Moremi Crossing is a 16 tent, an eco-friendly camp built on a palm-fringed island surrounded by the Moremi's game-rich seasonal floodplains and overlooking Chief's Island. Moremi Crossing is a new style safari camp combining luxury with simplicity. This is a 100% eco-friendly development featuring the latest in solar and waste disposal technology.
Become part of the bustling river life along with the papyrus clad banks of the Okavango Delta. Explore the wilderness with our game drives, guided bush walks, or sit back and absorb the scenery from a traditional 'mokoro' canoe. Another great way to explore the crystal clear channels of the Boro River is by motor-boat. Watch the sunset while drifting along a lagoon and sipping on sundowners. For the adventurous, we also offer a rustic island camping experience. Game drives will be available only when water levels are low. There will be no game drives when water levels are high as areas of the concession become inaccessible. Mokoros, boat cruises & fishing are also water level dependent.
Tau Pan Camp is situated inside the world famous Central Kalahari Game Reserve (CKGR) right on the edge of the beautiful Tau Pan.
We operate our game drives using a guide and tracker, this adds to the experience on two levels. You have two sets of eyes searching out the action, looking for tracks – this ensures a good chance of sightings, especially predators. In addition, having the tracker out front, concentrating on tracking, means that the guide is more able to talk to clients, keep them informed and answer all their questions, it leads to a more relaxed, convivial game drive atmosphere. As Tau Pan is within a national park we have to follow the regulations. The area is ecologically sensitive and as such we are not permitted to drive at night nor off road. In addition to game drives we do offer informative nature walks with our trackers who are all Bushmen from the Central Kalahari – a worthwhile experience. Star gazing is also offered here, under the impressive Kalahari night sky. The camp in addition has a sleep out experience for 2 people on a raised deck that is within the camp footprint, and is located in a secluded spot in the far end of the camp
Morning at leisure – enjoy a hearty brunch before your flight to Maun airport!
