Day 1: Windhoek

You will arrive at the international airport  Hosea Kutako. An  African Footprints Tours Cc representative will be welcoming you and will give you all the required documentation for your trip, and will also assist you with the handover of your car.

Day 2: Kalahari Namibia

Day 3: Sossusvlei

You will reach the Namib desert.  The main attraction is the Sossusvlei pan.  It was formed when the migrating Namib dunes stopped the riverflow of Tsauchab. Surrounded by towering star and wave shaped dunes, this place offers  breathtaking  views especially early in the morning.  The pan can be dry even for a decade but after big floods it is able to store water for almost one entire year.  Nearby you will find Dead Vlei, with its soil made of clay and the petrified acacia trees pointing towards the sky. Sesriem owes its name to a 30m deep canyon digged by the Tsauchab river.

Day 4: Sossusvlei

You will wake up at dawn to visit the tallest dunes in the world. At sunrise they take on magic colors. In the afternoon, if you want to, you will have the possibility to join the several activities offered by the lodge .

Day 5: Swakopmund

Today you will arrive at Swakopmund, a coastal town founded by German coloners in 1892. With its relaxing and cozy vibe, the town has been established as the main holiday destination of the country. The streets are still named after its historic heritage.  Its most remarkabe buildings are Woermann House, the old train station, The Law Court.

Day 6: Swakopmund

Today you will be either relaxing on the beach, explore the town, or just simply enjoy some fun activities, as Swakopmund is popular for its varied range of options:  skydiving, sandboarding, quadbiking, horseriding in the desert, airbaloon trips, scenic flights! There is plenty of choice! 

Day 7: Twyfelfontein

Today you will visit  Twyfelfontein,  the historic and important Unesco world heritage site , where you will admire the old bushmen artrock.  The burnt Mountain, the Organ Pipes and the Petrified Forest are some other sites that you can visit. 

Day 8: Opuwo

You will keep on heading north, driving by Palmwag, and you will reach  Kaokoland, the homeland of the charming himba tribe who still lives accordingly to his tradition, despite the intrusion of the western world.  Here you will enjoy a breathtaking landscape. You will stop at  Opuwo, that in the Herero language means  “the end”.

Day 9: Epupa Falls

After breakfast you will leave for the Epupa Falls, born from the Kunene river and they are a natural border to Angola. The landscape surrounding the falls is absolutely breathtaking.

Day 10: Epupa Falls

You will spend your day exploring this corner of paradise in Namibia! For any options we kindly invite you to speak to the staff in the lodge.

Day 11: Etosha West

You will start to explore the wonderful Etosha national park and his abuntant wildlife. 

Day 12: South Etosha

Day 13: Est Etosha

You will spend some more time to watch the abundant game and wildlife populating Etosha National Park. You will head towards east to exit from  Von Lindequist Gate.  You will notice how dramatic is the transformation of the landscape during this transfer.

Day 14: Otjiwarongo

You will leave Etosha behind to move towards south.

Day 15: End of Itinerary

You will arrive at the airport in time for your return flight.
