On arrival in Townsville, please make your way to the northern end of the terminal to the Orpheus Island/Nautilus Aviation desk. A staff member will meet you and check you in for your flight to Orpheus Island - shared basis.
On arrival on the Island you are greeted by a staff member who will brief you on the activities available during your stay and tailor an itinerary to suit. Some activities may be at additional cost.

One night we suggest you enjoy the Island’s signature dining experience Dining with the Tides (at additional cost). Dining with the Tides is an intimate six course degustation dinner served on the Island’s starlit pier, looking out over the magnificent Coral Sea while barramundi, eagle rays, reef sharks and spangled emperor swim below. You meet with the culinary team to design the perfect menu with wine pairings from a select cellar beverage list.
You will also enjoy a complimentary 60 minute massage, per adult, at the Gwandalan Day Spa during your stay.
Should you wish you could also commence this trip with arrival into Cairns. If you choose to do this then a private charter helicopter transfer to Orpheus Island is your only option.
Please note there are strict luggage restrictions on helicopter transfers with a maximum total of 15kg per person. Arrangements can be made to have any excess baggage stored while you are on the island.
The scheduled helicopter transfer from Townsville to Orpheus Island is at 14:00 each day, so please ensure your flight arrives into Townsville by 12:30. You can also travel to the island by private charter helicopter should you wish - at additional cost.
Today you board your private helicopter for the scenic coastal flight to Cairns. Flying time is 90 minutes.
On arrival at Cairns General Aviation you are met by a representative from Mt Mulligan Lodge and are transferred to the lodge by private vehicle. The drive will take around 3-4 hours.

You may also choose to either transfer from Cairns by private charter helicopter, or alternatively you can collect a hire car in Cairns and self-drive.
Today you make your way back to Cairns either by private transfer, hire car or private helicopter flight.
In Cairns you are transferred to the Cairns Airport to connect with your homebound flight.
