Welcome to South Africa!
Arrive at Cape Town - undeniably one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Hike Table Mountain, explore the Cape Peninsula, delight in the country’s unique food and culture.
After a short transfer you can settle in at the hotel and relax after the long flights. Take a stroll around the V & A Waterfront, take a sunset cruise or simply order a drink and take in the iconic views of Table Mountain.

Spend the day touring Cape Town and iconic Table Mountain. Your tour is with a private guide and at your own pace picking out the attractions which interest you.
Typically highlights include, the Houses of Parliament, the Castle (built between 1666 and 1679, this is South Africa’s oldest building), the lively Green Market Square with its daily market, the Company Gardens and of course Table Mountain which will give you spectacular views over the city and Peninsula (depending on the weather). On the descent, you can stop at the Bo Kaap, traditionally home to the Cape Malay community, with its cobbled streets and brightly coloured houses. Note that this tour can be done in the morning or the afternoon - the choice is yours

Experience the best of the Cape Peninsula on this full-day excursion.
You visit Cape Point Nature Reserve, stroll along the walkways at the Boulders African Penguin Colony and breathe the fragrant air in the stunning Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. On this tour, you’ll explore the majestic coastline that early sea farers initially dubbed the Cape of Storms, before it became known as the Cape of Good Hope. Follow the winding coastal road along the Twelve Apostles with its sheltered coves and breathtaking sea views, until you reach the furthermost outcrop.
Along the way to the southwestern most tip of Africa, you’ll pass Hout Bay, a historic fishing village before heading over Chapman’s Peak to Cape Point Nature Reserve where you’ll stop at the lighthouse. Here two ocean currents collide to showcase rich marine life, and on land, you’ll discover unique fauna and flora. Next, you’ll pass the quaint towns of Simon’s Town, Kalk Bay and Muizenberg on the False Bay coastline. Then you’ll head towards the Constantia region where the South African wine industry started, and at the eastern foot of Table Mountain you visit Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.

Spend the day exploring the picturesque Winelands region with its beautiful wine farms, quaint historical towns and wine-covered hills. It’s also home to some of South Africa’s leading restaurants and boutiques. The region is ideally suited to wine production and many of the wines produced here have won international awards.
Typically the regions explored are Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl, but this depends on your wine tastes. Your guide will structure the tour to suit your palate and interests. On a usual tour, the first stop is Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in South Africa, with canal-lined avenues, and magnificent examples of Cape Dutch architecture. Next head over the scenic Helshoogte Pass to Franschhoek, founded by French Huguenots over 300 years ago. It's lovely setting and café lined streets will charm you and the opportunity to do some shopping too.

Say goodbye to Cape Town and board the flight to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe.
On arrival at Victoria Falls Airport and after clearing customs and immigration, you will be met and assisted to your light aircraft for your onward circuit air transfer to Wilderness Little Makalolo Camp.
Kukummi Tip: If you have more time, extend this itinerary with 2 days in Vic Falls before going on safari! Visit the famous waterfalls, book a helicopter flight and enjoy a romantic dinner cruise on the Zambezi River. For adrenaline junkies there are crazy things to be done such as white water rafting and bungy jumping.
Little Makalolo offers an unrivalled safari experience in Hwange National Park, where the wonderful, wild scenery is matched by unforgettable wildlife sightings in this remote, exclusive region of Zimbabwe. Positioned in one of Hwange’s most wildlife-rich regions, where Kalahari sands meet teak woodlands and savannah plains, the area around Little Makalolo delivers excellent year-round game viewing.
Out on game drive, train your eyes on the horizon, in search of herds of buffalo, lone elephant bulls and rare antilopes such as sable and roan. Scan the treeline for many of the 400 species of birds found in Hwange, or retire to the hide to wait for them there.

After your wonderful safari adventure in Hwange National Park, it is time to visit another gem in Zimbabwe, Mana Pools!
You will be taken by light aircraft from Little Makalolo Camp to Ruckomechi Camp, situated on the banks of the Zambezi River.
Enjoy access to one of Zimbabwe’s most productive game-viewing regions, the riverine belt of iconic Mana Pools. Find adventure in the floodplains on a game drive in search of wildlife, or canoeing or catch-and-release fishing on the Zambezi River. Or on foot, taking in the pristine beauty of this wild, wonderful place.
Elephants are frequent visitors at Ruckomechi, tempted by the nutritious albida trees that shade the camp. Make yourself at home, as they do, between the en-suite rooms, the main area and the swimming pool. End the day the way days have ended in Africa for centuries; around a camp fire, under the stars, listening to nature’s soundtrack of frogs, crickets and jackals…

Sadly this wonderful 11-day trip is coming to an end. Say goodbye to the wonderful staff at camp who have become family. By light aircraft you will be taken to Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport in Harare.
Board a flight home or why not extend this trip with a few days in Victoria Falls at the end.....
