Overnight: Guinea Fowl Lodge - Bed and breakfast basis

This morning after breakfast, you will be met and transferred to Entebbe Airport, in time to connect with a scheduled flight to Kasese airstrip.
On arrival at Kassese airstrip, you will be met and transferred to Ndali Lodge, a drive of about two hours.
A choice of activities this afternoon include a trip to the Bigodi Swamp or a visit to "The top of the world" which gives you the best view over 3 different national parks.

Today you head out with the researchers on a habitual Chimpazee full day trek with a packed lunch.
During the start of your Chimpanzee habituation trek, you can expect to come across the chimps 'de-nesting' (the chimps coming down from their nocturnal nests) between 5.30 am and 6.30 am.
Then the rest of the day will be full, following the chimps as they go about their daily life. Your camera will fill up with quality pictures of the chimpanzees and you will come to learn to identify them as individuals by their markings, sometimes scars and other unique features that make them stand apart from rest.
The day ends as the chimpanzees climb into their newly built nests for the evening and you head back to your lodging for dinner.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, best know for its impressive gorilla trekking but it also provides refuge to elephants, chimpanzees, monkeys and various small antelopes as well as 23 bird species restricted to the Albertine Rift.
You arrive at the lodge for lunch and after you have settled in, you set off on an afternoon activity.

After an early breakfast, you transfer to the park headquarters. Once there you will complete park formalities and be allocated a gorilla family group for the day. Which group you’re allocated will depend upon your fitness level and your desire to trek. Some of the gorilla families are located further away than others. After a briefing and a short drive you will commence your trek.
You are able to spend a magical hour with the gorillas. Nothing can prepare one for the impact of encountering a fully-grown silverback gorilla, up to three times the size of an average man, yet remarkably peaceable and tolerant of human visitors.
Once you have located your family group of gorillas you spend a magical hour with them. For environmental reasons this is the maximum time visitors can spend with the gorillas daily due mainly to fear of transfer of disease. Your first sighting of a gorilla in the wild is an exhilarating and extraordinary experience. Indeed for many it is life-changing.
Note: It is recommended that you bring a pair of cheap gardening gloves. You will encounter a great deal of stinging nettles during our trek. Long trousers are mandatory.
Once you have had your time with the gorillas you will return to the vehicle and drive back to the Lodge and spend the rest of your afternoon at your leisure.
Overnight: Bwindi Lodge - Including all meals

It’s up again early this morning for another gorilla trek.
Return to the lodge for lunch and the afternoon either at leisure or enjoying one of the activities on offer.
