Your day in Prague begins with pick-up from your Prague hotel by your private guide. Depending on the tour option chosen, you’ll then set out to explore the city, either on foot or by private vehicle.
Your itinerary can be customised to suit your preferences, so perhaps start by exploring the UNESCO-listed historic center, passing monuments such as the Powder Gate, the Astronomical Clock, and the Old Town Square. Then, stroll through the Jewish Quarter, or head down to Wenceslas Square and the New Town to admire architectural gems such as the National Theatre, the New Town Hall, and the unique ‘Dancing House’.
Pose for photos on the famous Charles Bridge and take in the views along the Vltava River as you cross into the Lesser Town, then hear more about Prague’s rich history as you wander the maze-like streets and visit the legendary John Lennon Wall. Escape the crowds to walk around the hilltop Petrin Park, where you could climb the Petrin Tower for a spectacular view over the city or take a tour of the Strahov Monastery (own expense).
Make sure you don’t miss the city’s star attraction – Prague Castle, one of the world’s biggest castle complexes, where you’ll see Gothic and Renaissance masterpieces such as St Vitus Cathedral, Hradcani Castle, and the Golden Lane.
After a full day exploring Prague’s highlights, your guide will take you back to your hotel.

Day 3: Prague

Begin your tour with pickup from your hotel in Salzburg or meet at a central pickup point. Hop aboard your minivan with your local driver and guide and take off on your original 'Sound of Music' experience. While you travel, learn fun facts and behind-the-scenes stories about the classic musical and sing along with some of the beloved songs playing in the background.
Travel toward the 17th-century Schloss Hellbrunn (Hellbrunn Castle) to visit the reconstructed garden gazebo where Liesl and Rolf sang 'Sixteen Going on Seventeen.'
Afterward, drive to the stunning region of Salzkammergut and marvel at the Alpine mountains and glassy lakes featured in the opening scenes. Pass the charming village of St. Gilgen, home to the movie’s mountain railway.
Next, spot the yellow church in Mondsee where Maria’s wedding famously took place. Then, return to Salzburg to discover two more iconic locations: the Mirabell Palace and Nonnberg Abbey, where the convent scenes were filmed.
Your tour ends at the original starting point. Since this is a private tour, be sure to list any special interests you have at the time of booking so that your guide will know them in advance, and then, on the day, talk to your guide about any sights you want to see more or less of, so they can tailor your itinerary around your wishes.

Day 6: Salzburg

Your excursion will begin with pickup from your Salzburg hotel. Hop aboard your private coach and begin your journey to the UNESCO-listed village of Hallstatt. Along the way, soak up views of the famed Alpine peak of the Dachstein, towering 9,826 feet (2,995 meters) from the ground.
Arrive in Hallstatt, an area dating back to prehistoric times and renowned for its long history of salt production. Here, coordinate your itinerary with your guide and then venture out independently for 30 minutes if you choose. Check out the Mühlbach Waterfall and sail across the lake on a scenic boat ride (own expense). You can also opt to travel up the mountain by train to see the world's oldest salt mine (admission at own expense), taking in views of the town stretched out below. Or stroll along Lake Hallstatt and sightsee from the crisp blue water.
Stop to examine the village’s unique Beinhaus (Bone House), a collection of 1,200 decorated human skulls. Learn how corpses were exhumed and the skulls were painted to preserve the memory of the deceased when the village ran out of burial grounds in the 18th century.
After five hours exploring Austria's scenic Lake District, your private tour will conclude with drop-off back at your Salzburg hotel.
