First travel south through Windhoek, Namibia’s capital city, before continuing south over the Spreetzhoogte Pass into the Namib Desert and some spectacular landscapes. Have some world-famous apple pie at Moose McGregor’s Desert Bakery. Arrive at Desert Lodge. Relax by the pool or partake in some of the activities at the lodge. Hiking trails, sundowner drives, quadbike (ATV) rides (activity optional).
Partake in a spectacular Hot Air Balloon flight at sunrise followed by a breakfast served on the desert plains (activity optional). Visit Deadvlei and Sossusvlei where you will see some of the highest sand dunes on the planet. Visit the Sesriem Canyon. Return to the Desert Lodge.
Then travel west through the Namib Desert towards Swakopmund. Arrive in time for lunch followed by quad biking (ATVs) and sandboarding on the dunes near Swakopmund (alternatively choose from a list of other activities, activities are optional). Dinner at one of the excellent restaurants in town. Overnight in Swakopmund overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
Get up early to go on a Dolphin Cruise at the Walvis Bay Lagoon, a world heritage site for marine life! (activity optional). Explore the Namib desert and sites such as the Moon Landscape. Explore the town of Swakopmund and its many shops and café’s or barter for something special at the wood carver’s market. Have dinner at another fine restaurant. Overnight in Swakopmund.
Travel north towards the Twyfelfontein Rock Engravings where we will take a short walk to view some of the best examples of bushman rock engravings and paintings available in Namibia. We arrive at the lodge and either go on a variety of short and easy walking trails or relax by the swimming pool. The afternoon will be spent tracking the desert elephants that frequent the area. End the day with a breath-taking mountain top sundowner.
Spend the day exploring Damaraland’s breath-taking landscapes in search of wildlife and the desert elephant on am and pm nature drives. Spend some time by the pool to relax. End the day with yet another breath-taking mountain top sundowner.
The Okonjima Private Reserve is your next destination. This 28,000-hectare private game reserve is home to a variety of plains came species as well as a healthy rhino, leopard and cheetah population. Spend the next two days here enjoying a variety of AM and PM activities including leopard tracking, rhino tracking, pangolin tracking, game drives, night drives and a visit to the carnivore centre and cheetah rehabilitation centre. You’ll return to the lodge between activities for some R&R, lunch, and some lazy time by the pool.

Get up early for a morning activity and return to the lodge for brunch. Travel south to Okahandja and the famous woodcarvers market where you’ll get the opportunity to barter for that something special from Africa to take home with you. Go on a short city tour of Windhoek and visit the craft centre before enjoying a delicious lunch at the world-famous Joe's Beer house. We will then transfer you to the Airport for your flight back home.
