Pre & Post Tour - Hluhluwe (3 Days)

Guests will be met by an English speaking driver/guide at King Shaka International Airport (pre-tour) or the hotel lobby (post-tour) and transfer by road to Thanda Phinda Private Game Reserve in the Northern Zululand Region.

Guests can enjoy lunch at the lodge and there after depart on an afternoon game drive with knowledgeable game rangers and trackers who have extensive knowledge of both the fauna and flora in Thanda's ecosystems. Animals are more active during the cooler hours of the day. Game drives are conducted in opentopped Land Rovers, with a maximum of six guests per vehicle.
Dinner will be served at the lodge.

For those guests who wish an wake-up call can be arranged and the delights of a new day awaits. The ranger will discuss what you hope to see that day over fragrant tea or coffee and morning biscuits or rusks. Wildlife on Thanda's 14,000-ha property include the wild dog, endangered black rhino, cheetah, hyaena, warthog and plains game as well as an abundance of bird life.

A fantastic way to round an exciting morning game drive off is with a hearty breakfast served at the lodge.

Transfer with an English speaking driver from Thanda Private Game Reserve to Phinda Mountain Lodge.
Guests can enjoy lunch at the lodge. Later the afternoon game drive begins and lasts until after dark, when spotlights are used for a glimpse into the nocturnal bush life. Listen to lions roar in the dark or admire the small nocturnal animals. Enjoy sundowners in a scenic location as the sun slowly sinks beneath the horizon.
A boma dinner is awaits at the lodge or in a surprising bush location.

Phinda is renowned for its exceptional sightings of the elusive cheetah and the rare black rhino. There is also a number of resident lion prides and rangers will do their best to provide guests with a glimpse of all of these animals.
Return to your lodge for a delicious breakfast.

Thereafter continue the Durban where guests will either be dropped off at the hotel (Pre- tour) or at King Shaka International Airport for their onward flight home (Post – tour) - flight cost not included.
