Day 1: Swakopmund

Your Guide will meet you at the Hosea Kutako International Airport located near Windhoek after you have completed the Immigration formalities.

Load up all your luggage and you set off driving through Windhoek, the capital city of Namibia, and head north to the town of Okahandja. You may make a refreshment stop here and also get yourself a light lunch.

From Okahandja the route heads in a Westerly direction straight to Swakopmund located on the cold Atlantic coast. The scenery along this route is quite spectacular as the road winds through the stony outcrops until you reach the desert coastline.

Check in to your hotel and your guide will take you on an orientation tour of Swakopmund making a stop at the local Adventure Center so that you may study the many exciting excursions that are available here and make bookings for Day 2 once you have had a good rest and recovered from the ardious international flights.

Day 2: Swakopmund

Swakopmund is a very quaint town with many examples of old-world German architecture to be seen.

Swakopmund is also Namibia's adventure capital and you have many exciting excursions to choose from to fill your day.

Return to your hotel in the late afternoon and relax for a while before we head out to the local and most popular restaurant for dinner.

Day 3: Twyfelfontein

Today we head away from the coastline into the arid interior and stop at the little village of Uis for a refreshment stop.

We continue on through the Orongo Region where we find the villages of the Herrero people. Look out for the Herrero women dressed in their colourful flowing dresses with a unique headdress of the same colourful material. 

This afternoon we visit the historical site of San Rock Art at Twyfelfontein and your guide will give you a guided tour of all the painting sites.

We then take the short drive to Camp Kipwe where we check-in and you may experience the spectacular sunset

Day 4: Twyfelfontein

We leave the camp after breakfast this morning travelling along the Aba-Huab River in search of the elusive Desert Elephants of Namibia.

There are numerous other wildlife species to be seen and we stop under one of the centuries-old Camel Thorn Trees to enjoy our picnic lunch.

We return to the luxury camp set between the massive granite boulders in the afternoon for you to have a swim and relax before the dinner is served after sunset.

Day 5: Etosha South

We will have an early breakfast this morning and depart for the drive to Etosha. We pass through the town of Kamanjab and then stop in Outjo for a welcome refreshment stop.

The journey from Outjo to our lodge takes approximately one hor and we can enjoy a late lunch on arrival.

We will enter Etosha National Park for a game drive if the time permits and return to the lodge just prior to sunset.

Day 6: Onguma Game Reserve

We depart very early this morning and carry our packed breakfast so the we may view the animals in Etosha National Park while they are still more active early in the morning.

We may stop at the Okaukuejo Resort to enjoy our breakfast and then proceed on with our Game Drive stopping at various waterholes and reaching Halali Resort in time for lunch. 

After lunch we continue with the Game Drive to beautiful waterholes with names like Springbokvlakte and we exit the park on the eastern side just before sunset. Our lodge is a short drive from the exit gate and you can take the opportunity to relax and have a scrumptious dinner while enjoying the view over Etosha Pan.

Day 7: Onguma Game Reserve

Today we explore the Eastern section of Etosha and go in search of the smallest of the Antelope species, the Damara Dik Dik.

We exit Etosha in the afternoon to spend a relaxing time at Onguma enjoying the spectacular sunset and views over Etosha.

Day 8: Okonjima Nature Reserve

We leave the Etosha region after breakfast and head in a southerly direction through the town of Tsumeb to Otjiwarongo.

We continue on to Okonjima home of the Africat Foundation. We check in at the Okonjima Bush Camp and enjoy a well deserved lunch.

This afternoon we tour the Africat Foundation and learn about the important research and work that they are doing to preserve and protect the large carnivores of Africa. The tour will include a visit to the Leopard enclosure.

After the afternoon activity you can prepare for dinner and then relax and do some star gazing on this, your last night on the Safari.

Day 9: End of Itinerary

This morning you may have a very relaxed start to your day and enjoy a scrumptious unrushed breakfast.

After breakfast we check out of the lodge and depart mid-morning for the short drive to Okahandja where we stop at the expansive craft market. We will enjoy our last lunch here before we proceed to Windhoek for a guided tour through the historical part of the city.

Your guide will drop you off at the Hosea Kutako International Airport for you to check in on the international flights.
