Days 1 - 2: Moremi Game Reserve

Upon your arrival at Maun Airport around noon, we will be eagerly awaiting to extend a warm and heartfelt welcome to Botswana. At the airport, you will meet your pilot, who will guide you through an awe-inspiring light aircraft scenic flight over the majestic Okavango Delta and Chief's Island. This extraordinary journey will provide you with a bird's-eye view of the remarkable ecosystem, reminiscent of the perspective of a graceful fish eagle.

After landing at a remote bush airstrip nestled within the Moremi Game Reserve, your dedicated guide will be there to greet you warmly. As you transfer to your mobile camp, an enthralling game drive will be arranged, allowing you to immerse yourself in the wilderness and discover the enchanting landscapes along the way. Our friendly and attentive staff will be at your service, ensuring your immediate comfort and providing you with a briefing on the exciting experiences that lie ahead on your safari. In camp, you will have the opportunity to indulge in a delightful afternoon tea.

As the sun begins to set, the true magic of our mobile camp unfolds. Gather around the crackling fire, savoring refreshing drinks and relishing the captivating ambiance of the African bush. A starlit dinner awaits, accompanied by the symphony of sounds that lull you into a restful night's sleep.

For the initial two nights, we will establish our camp in the picturesque Xakanaxa / Third Bridge area, allowing us to embark on captivating game drives through the surrounding wilderness during the day. It is noteworthy that the Moremi Game Reserve, encompassing an expansive area of approximately 5,000km2 (1,930 square miles), safeguards a significant portion, about a third, of the entire Okavango Delta ecosystem.

Days 3 - 5: Khwai Community Area

After enjoying a nourishing breakfast, we proceed to dismantle our camp and embark on the next leg of our journey towards Khwai. Along the way, we will pause for a delightful bush picnic lunch, immersing ourselves in the natural surroundings. Serving as a boundary between the reserve and the local Khwai Community Area, the Khwai River adds an enchanting touch to the landscape. Our campsite in the Khwai area will serve as our home for the next three nights, offering an ideal base for exploration. Through invigorating game drives, we will venture into the captivating Khwai floodplains, where remarkable wildlife encounters await. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to experience the tranquility of a 2 ½-hour mokoro trip. Drifting at a leisurely pace in a traditional dug-out canoe, you will discover the intricate network of channels and lagoons, providing a unique perspective of the natural wonders that surround you.

Day 6: End of Itinerary

After enjoying a satisfying breakfast, we will commence our journey back to Maun. Along the way, a delightful picnic lunch will be provided, allowing you to savor a delicious meal amidst the picturesque surroundings. Arriving in Maun between noon and 1 pm, you will have ample time to make your onward arrangements and continue with your planned activities.
