Day 1: Chobe River Front

On arrival at Kasane Airport, you will be met by a local representative for your transfer to Chobe Game Lodge. 

Home to the largest elephant population in Africa, Chobe is renowned as one of the best wildlife sanctuaries in the world. Spend the next few days enjoying unique game viewing experiences at the luxurious Chobe Game Lodge situated on the banks of the Chobe River.  

Upon arrival at the lodge and completion of all check-in procedures, enjoy lunch (time permitting), an afternoon game activity followed by dinner at the lodge.

Day 2: Chobe River Front

Awake to the sounds of the African bush as you embark on a private champagne breakfast cruise. Experience a beautiful sunrise as you enjoy unsurpassed game viewing on the Chobe River. Elephants line the water’s edge, hippo congregate in lagoons, hundreds of antelope and giraffe make their way to the water and sightings of predators along the river banks are common.

Upon your return to the lodge from the morning cruise, enjoy some leisure time and lunch before departing on an afternoon game drive. 

The game drives follow the course of the Chobe River as your experienced guide interprets the bush signs and tracks in search of the resident wildlife. Elephant encounters are common and huge herds of buffalo abound. The ever-present impala and the majestic giraffe are both common residents, while sightings of the puku antelope are also on offer. Predators are plentiful in the northern region of the Chobe National Park, and excellent sightings of lion, wild dog and leopard are to be had.

Dinner will be served upon return to the lodge.

Expert tips

Wear comfortable clothing and a sunhat, apply sunscreen and bring a pair of binoculars to spot animals at a distance.

Day 3: Chobe River Front

After your early morning encounter with a wide variety of animals and birds roaming freely in their natural habitat, return to the lodge for a scrumptious breakfast.

Witness firsthand the projects underway during a mid-morning back of house eco-tour conducted by Albert Ndereki, one of the lodge's longest standing employees and ecotourism manager. A ‘Behind the scenes tour’ will allow you to meet some of the wonderful people that make it all happen while discovering the innovative projects taking place.
  • Chobe Game Lodge Bush Walks - Guided walks are an ideal way of exploring the the African bush and connecting with nature. Accompanied by professional guides who are passionate and knowledgeable, intimately explore phenomenal wilderness. 
  • Chobe Game Lodge Birding Experience - Birding in this area is spectacular with the resident Schalows turaco, barred owlet and white-browed coucal in the gardens as well as rosythroated longclaw, western-banded snake-eagle and hooded vulture to name but a few of the 450 species of the Chobe region.

Day 4: Moremi Game Reserve

After breakfast, checkout and bid farewell to Chobe as you transfer to Kasane Airport for your scheduled air charter transfer to Moremi Game Reserve. 

Characterized by mopane woodland and acacia forests, floodplains and lagoons, Moremi Game reserve is arguably one of Africa's most beautiful reserves. With many ecosystems seamlessly coalescing, the game viewing in this pristine area is impeccable and almost exclusive. 

On arrival, you will be met by lodge staff who will take you through to the lodge for check-in. Enjoy some afternoon tea and a game activity followed by dinner at the lodge.  

Expert tips

All charter transfers are in light aircrafts that carry between five and seven passengers. These planes are limited to the weight that they can safely carry. It is therefore vital that all passengers adhere to the luggage restriction of 15 kg per person in a soft bag plus 5 kg hand luggage (incl camera equipment), 20 kilogram's in total.

Day 5: Moremi Game Reserve

Immerse yourself in the serenity of the African bush as you enjoy an early morning cup of coffee or tea with a light continental breakfast before embarking on your first game activity of the day.

  • Guided Game Drive - Game drives are the best way for exploring a vast area of the Moremi Game Reserve. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in 4x4 safari vehicles spotting a wide variety of wildlife with possible sightings of the buffalo, giraffe, lion, leopard, cheetah, hyaena, jackal, impala, and red lechwe and African Wild dog.
  • Motorized Boat Safaris - Explore the Xakanaxa Lagoon and its surrounding channels by boat for a chance to enjoy the picturesque waters of the Okavango Delta, in hard-bottom aluminum boats. The boats are equipped with comfortable seats, a foldaway canvas roof and life jackets.
  • Bird Watching - Birding is quite spectacular in this pristine area, especially during spring and summer when the migrants breed. The majestic Fish Eagle and vivid Malachite Kingfisher are frequently seen and even the rare Pel’s Fishing Owl makes an occasional appearance.

Day 6: Moremi Game Reserve

Start off your day with an early morning cup of coffee or tea with a light continental breakfast before enjoying a day of exploring nature and wildlife in this sanctuary.

Spend the leisure time in between the game activities relaxing by the pool or enjoying the views from the comfort of your private room deck.

Seal off your memorable Camp Moremi experience with a private romantic dinner. 

Day 7: Okavango Delta

Enjoy your early morning game activity and leisurely breakfast at the lodge. When all checkout procedures have been completed, you will be transferred to Camp Okavango. Situated in its own private island at the heart of the Okavango Delta, enjoy a secluded and unique year-round water wilderness experience.

Arriving at Camp O as its fondly known, you will be met by the lodge staff who will assist you with check-in. Freshen-up and enjoy some leisure time as well as an afternoon tea.

Day 8: Okavango Delta

Awake to the tranquility of the bush right at the heart of the world’s largest inland delta. Immerse yourself in the sounds of the birds chirping and the majestic views. 

After your light continental breakfast and morning coffee, enjoy scheduled camp activities on offer as outlined below.  

  • Motorized Boat Safaris - Explore the deeper channels and lagoons of the Okavango Delta in hard-bottom aluminum boats. The boats are equipped with comfortable seats, a foldaway canvas roof and life jackets.

  • Mokoro (Canoe) Excursions - Experience guided mokoro excursions in traditional dug out canoes through the shallower channels and floodplains of the Okavango Delta.

  • Guided Bush Walks - Bush walks are an intimate way of exploring the wilderness. Explore the surrounding islands for a chance to track the larger species that inhabit the water wilderness. Guided walks are conducted in small groups with two guides.

  • Fishing - Enjoy Optional fishing excursions to fish for bream (seasonal). All fishing equipment is available at the lodge.

Day 9: Boteti River - Makgadikgadi Pans National Park

Enjoy a morning game activity and a scrumptious breakfast at the lodge. When all checkout procedures are completed, bid farewell to the magnificent Okavango Delta as you head to Makgadikgadi Pans National Park.

The Makgadikgadi Pans are the largest salt pans in the world and renowned for its second largest zebra migration in the world. Marvel at the contrast between the lush vegetation of the Okavango Delta and the dry salt pans of Makgadikgadi. During the wet season, there is an influx of migratory bird species to be seen.

On arrival at the lodge, complete all check-in procedures and enjoy your afternoon tea as well as a game activity followed by dinner at the lodge.

Day 10: Boteti River - Makgadikgadi Pans National Park

Enjoy an early morning cup of coffee or tea with a light continental breakfast  at the lodge before departing on your morning game activity.

  • Game Drives - Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives conducted in the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park. Explore the exceptional wildlife sightings along the Boteti River.

Day 11: Cape Town

After your early morning game activity (time permitting) and breakfast, checkout and transfer by charter flight to Maun for your connecting flight to Cape Town. 

Fondly known as the 'Mother City', the vibrant city of Cape Town is a cultural melting pot rich in history and natural beauty. The next few days will be spent exploring Africa's top destination.  

Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you will be met by an Albatros Travel representative for your transfer to The Cape Grace Hotel. 

The remainder of the day is at leisure. Unwind and relax as you enjoy your complimentary bottle of sparkling wine  and home-made chocolates in your hotel room.

Day 12: Cape Town

Enjoy a scrumptious breakfast at the hotel and then proceed to the foyer where you will be met by your local guide for a private half day City Tour. 

Private Half Day Cape Town City & Table Mountain Tour

The Half-Day City & Table Mountain Tour commences with a visit to Table Mountain (weather permitting; cable car fee included). Enjoy panoramic views over the Mother City and Robben Island in the distance lying sleepily in Table Bay harbor.  In the heart of the city, enjoy a short walk through the Company Gardens.  From squirrels to a variety of plant life, it’s just a happy place to soak up some ‘Cape Town vibes’ and enjoy the aviaries and fishponds. On Wale Street end of the garden you will find a monument which was created to commemorate the life and work of Archbishop Desmond Tutu fondly known as “The Arch” and a tribute to the values of the South African Constitution. Arch for Arch was installed beside historic St. George’s Cathedral AKA “People’s Cathedral” for its role in the resistance against apartheid.  Step inside the Slave Lodge which explores the history of unwilling immigrants and how they have contributed to the richness and diversity of South African history.  As you drive through the city you shall get a feel for the cultural melting pot that it is. End the Cape Town tour with a stop at Truth Cafe, a ‘steampunk-inspired’ artisan coffee shop serving all hand-roasted coffees in a vintage cast-iron drum (any meals for own account).  Return to your hotel upon completion of the tour.

Day 13: Cape Town

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel and the proceed to the foyer to meet your local guide for a private full day Cape Point and Peninsula tour. 

Private Full Day Cape Point & Peninsula Tour 

Travel along the Atlantic Seaboard via Sea Point, Clifton and Camps Bay to Hout Bay, a quaint village and fishing harbor with magnificent mountain views and beach. Continue via Chapman’s Peak (weather permitting and subject to the road being open), one of the world’s most breath-taking coastal drives, to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and Cape Point which is perceived to be the meeting point of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. Go on to historic Simon’s Town, a village with charming Victorian architecture, a naval base and a large penguin colony at the beautiful Boulders Beach. Boulders Penguin Colony is home to a growing colony of the vulnerable African Penguin. Wooden walkways allow visitors to view the penguins in their natural habitat and there is also a new information center. A lunch stop is made nearby (lunch cost not included).  End the day with a visit to the well-known Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens. The Garden includes five of South Africa’s six different biomes and is world-renowned for the beauty and diversity of the Cape Flora it displays as well as for the magnificence of its setting against the eastern slopes of Table Mountain.

Day 14: Cape Town

After enjoying a delectable breakfast at the hotel and then proceed to the foyer where you will be met by your local guide for a private full day Cape Winelands Tour.

Day 15: End of Itinerary

After your leisurely breakfast and checkout, bid farewell to the magnificent Cape Town taking with you lovely memories of your honeymoon.  Your driver will meet you in the hotel's foyer for your transfer to Cape Town International Airport for your onward flight.
