This morning you will be transferred to the airport where you will be assisted in boarding a light aircraft for a scheduled charter flight to Sossusvlei, one of the largest conservation areas in Africa (the Namib-Naukluft National Park). Characterized by the large red dunes that surround it, Sossusvlei is a large, white, salt and clay pan. The dunes in this area are some of the highest in the world, reaching almost 400 meters, and provide photographic enthusiasts with wonderful images in the beautiful morning and evening light.
Your accommodation for the next two nights is at Kulala Desert Lodge which draws its inspiration from North Africa with a main guest area incorporating a lounge, bar and dining area. There is a plunge pool for cooling down on simmering summer days and a wrap- around veranda boasting incredible views of the waterhole in front of the lodge.
An exclusive-use gate provides direct access to the renowned dunes of Sossusvlei and the evocative panoramas of Dead Vlei. Climb the 300-metre red dunes and gaze upon the famed Namib Sand Sea World Heritage Site.
Activities center around guided early morning excursions in four wheel drive vehicles to the magnificent Sossusvlei and Deadvlei areas. Afternoon activities are enjoyed on the Kulala Desert Lodge property - consisting of guided nature drives or walks to imbibe the desert scenery and its unique fauna and flora.
After an early morning activity you will be transferred by scheduled light aircraft charter flight to Damaraland Camp situated in the Huab River Valley in one of the best wilderness areas in Namibia, offering endless vistas across stark plains, ancient valleys and a stunning ochre-purple mountain backdrop.
Activities include nature drives and guided walks, while further afield, ancient rock art and geological wonders dot the area.
After an early morning game drive you will be transferred by scheduled light aircraft charter flight to Ongava Game Reserve. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to Ongava Tented Camp immersed in the African Mopani bush, and tucked in a hidden valley at the foot of a dolomite hill.
Activities include morning and afternoon / evening game drives in shared open safari vehicles, guided walks, and a visit to the Ongava Research Center.
After a final game viewing activity transfer by light aircraft charter flight to Windhoek.
