Day 3: Ghana

Highlights of this half day tour include: a visit up Table Mountain on the cableway where the various flora and fauna will be explained (the cableway ticket is not included as the mountain visit is weather permitting); Malay Quarter, city centre and Company Gardens, time permitting the Castle of Good Hope; photographic opportunities of Table Mountain from Table Bay and Cape Town Diamond Works.

Day 4: Ghana

Cape Town is set on a spectacular mountainous peninsula jutting into the southern oceans. This full day tour is an ideal way to see the highlights and appreciate the surrounding natural beauty. You’ll travel along the Atlantic seaboard with its gorgeous white beaches and rugged mountains to Hout Bay. If time permits, you have the option of taking a half hour boat trip to Duiker Island to see a Cape Fur Seal colony (for own account). If open, you’ll continue on Chapman’s Peak Drive, renowned as one of the most stunning roadways in the world. You’ll visit the Cape Point Nature Reserve, the tip of the Cape Peninsula that has captivated travellers for centuries with its dramatic scenery and fascinating history. The return journey to Cape Town takes you along False Bay coast with the option of visiting the colony of rare African Penguins at Boulders Beach (for own account). You’ll pass through the naval village of Simon’s Town, Fish Hoek, Kalk Bay and Muizenberg. You’ll visit the world-famous Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens before arriving back at your hotel.

Days 6 - 9: Manyeleti Private Game Reserve

This morning fly to Limpopo, on arrival at Hoedspruit you will transfer directly to your 5 star lodge located in the private Manyeleti Reserve which borders the Kruger, Sabi Sands and Timbavati.

During your stay you will go out on morning and afternoon game drives. Time to rest or take one of our recommended optional tours.

Day 10: Nairobi National Park

Transfer to Hoedspruit airport for your flight to Johannesburg and your connecting flight to Nairobi. On arrival in Nairobi this evening you will be met by your driver guide and transfer to your hotel which borders the Nairobi National Park.

Day 11: Nairobi National Park

Emakoko provides a unique and romantic setting within Nairobi with its direct access to Nairobi National Park which is buzzing with game including rhino and lions. Nairobi National Park is the only national park in the work located within a city and for that reason; this is a very unique experience. Begin your Kenyan safari with a leisurely breakfast before climbing into your custom-built safari vehicle for your first game drive. Return to the lodge for lunch followed by an afternoon of leisure; relax on the viewing deck with a good book or soak up the hot sun by the pool. Alternatively, you may prefer to head back into the park for another game drive in hopes of spotting some more game, or visit the Daphne Sheldricks elephant orphanage to foster an elephant (at additional cost) before returning for hot showers and a gourmet dinner.

Day 12: Samburu National Reserve

This morning, after breakfast, you will be collected from your hotel and transferred to Wilson Airport in time for your flight to Samburu National Park. On landing in Samburu, you will be met by a Larsen’s Camp driver guide and enjoy a short game drive en-route to camp. On arriving at Larsens’ you will be greeted with an ice-cold drinks and a refreshing face cloth to wipe away the drive’s dust before lunch is served under the trees or on the expansive deck overlooking the river. You will have the afternoon to explore the grounds or simply relax in the privacy of your tent as you wait for the afternoon heat to subside to head out on your first evening game drive. Samburu is a unique park with stunning landscapes and several species that cannot be spotted in any other of Kenya’s parks; these include the reticulated giraffe, grevys zebra and gerenuk. Make your way back to camp before nightfall in time to enjoy a refreshing drink as you watch the sunset from the tree deck.

During your stay at Larsen's you will enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the camp's open safari vehicle.

Day 13: Samburu National Reserve

Day 14: Ghana

Today you leave the arid landscapes of Samburu behind you as you fly south towards the world renowned Masai Mara Game Reserve. After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight. Upon landing, you will be met by a custom built safari vehicle from Little Governor’s Camp and begin your short game drive to camp in time for lunch. The intimate camp is situated within the reserve with just 17 en-suite tents nestled around a lush marsh which is teeming with game and birdlife. This afternoon, as the heat of the day subsides, you can venture out on your first Mara game drive before returning to the lodge in time for dinner

Day 15: Ghana

This morning there is an amazing opportunity to spend an hour in the skies above the plains as you treat yourself to this once in a life time safari experience; a hot air balloon flight (at an additional cost). The view from the basket is breathtaking and the champagne breakfast that awaits you on the ground is a very welcome sight! After an exciting morning you will be transferred back to Little Governors in time for lunch. Spend the remainder of your afternoon relaxing on your private veranda or in the lounge watching the animals come to drink before the time comes for your evening game drive

Day 16: Ghana

Today is your last day in the Mara so make sure you experience as much as you can. We recommend you rise before the sun for a chance to watch the great Masai Mara and its abundant wildlife begin their day. The coolness of the early mornings provide the best game viewing moments as the wildlife is most active at this time. Return to camp for a hearty mid-morning breakfast and perhaps enjoy a visit to the local Masai village (at additional cost); this is a great way to explore the Masai culture and learn more about their way of life. Back at the camp, lunch is served under the trees followed by a chance to relax before your last game drive.

Days 17 - 20: Poste de Flacq

This morning fly back to Nairobi, here you will board Air Mauritius and fly non stop to Mauritius.

On arrival in Mauritius you will be met and private transfer to your 5 star hotel .Over the next four nights enjoy the many facilities of this beautiful resort or pull up a deck chair and soak up the sun and Rhum!!

Day 21: End of Itinerary

Late check out of your room has been included, you have the entire day to enjoy the resort or have that last minute spa treatment before boarding your flight.

Early this evening private transfer to the airport for your overnight flight to Perth with Air Mauritius.

Expert tips

If you are connecting to the east coast you will clear customs and immigration in Perth and then fly with either Virgin or Qantas to your home city.
