Day 2: Vienna

Guided Tour by coach and foot

  • Enjoy a hearty breakfast at your hotel, before heading out on a guided tour of the beautiful Austrian capital. See the Ring Road, where once the City Walls stood to protect the town from the Turks. In the 19th century, Emperor Franz-Joseph had their town down to showcase Vienna as an open city with a stately boulevard going around town. Lined with spectacular buildings, such as the Hofburg, the Burgtheater, the Town Hall and many more, the Ring Road is without a doubt one of the most famous attractions in town. Listen to stories from days gone by until today of the proud city and its royal past! Your tour also takes you to the interesting Hundertwasser House, designed by the architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser.  Built in the '80s, the house has no right angles, features trees on the roof, and a colorful facade. It has become a part of Vienna's cultural heritage and is one of the most visited buildings in Vienna.
  • The afternoon is free at your leisure for shopping or sightseeing. or visiting the famous Prater- park close by, known for its historical Ferris-wheel and amusement park. The Prater Ferris wheel was first opened in 1857, as a part of the 50th celebrations of Emperor Franz-Joseph. It quickly became a  symbol of Vienna and is still a must-see attraction in town.

Enjoy your dinner in a restaurant.
