Embark on a breathtaking journey around the Cape Peninsula, one of the most scenic routes in the world. Your adventure begins with a drive along the stunning Chapman's Peak Drive (subject to road conditions), a coastal road that winds along sheer cliffs, offering awe-inspiring views of the Atlantic Ocean and rugged coastline.
The tour continues to the Cape Point Nature Reserve, where you’ll explore the dramatic landscapes of the Cape of Good Hope. Standing at this famous landmark, you’ll feel the raw beauty of nature as the waves crash against the rocky shores. Take a short hike or funicular ride (optional) to the old lighthouse at Cape Point, where you can enjoy panoramic views of where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet.
After soaking in the natural splendor, head to Boulders Beach to visit the world-famous African Penguin Colony. Watch these charming, endangered creatures up close as they waddle along the beach or swim in the clear waters (entrance fee not included).

- Table Mountain: Walk, hike (and abseil), or take the cable car to the top of Table Mountain.
- Cape Point: The most southern point of the Cape Peninsula and where legends tell us that the two oceans, the Atlantic and the Indian, meet. This conservation area is breath taking and will leave an impression that will stay with you for ever.
- Signal Hill: Watch the historic firing of the Noon Day Gun on the slopes of Signal Hill
- Company Gardens: Feed the squirrels and enjoy tea in the Company Gardens - peace within a buzzing urban metropolis
- Township Cultural Tours: An excellent opportunity to be guided around the townships, interacting with the locals and even having a drink or meal at a sheebeen (tavern) or restaurant.
- Horse ride: On Noordhoek Beach and experience breath-taking views of the ocean and Chapman’s Peak

- Underground Tunnel & Dungeon Tour: During the early days of Cape Town canals and rivers acted as routes of travel and supplied the Company Gardens and ships with fresh water. Still in existence today these tunnels – approximately two meters in diameter – are located under the busy streets of the CBD and now help with storm water drainage, channel fresh run-off water from Table Mountain (straight into the sea).

- Simons Town: Coming around the east side of the Peninsula on the False Bay side you can visit Simon’s Town, home to the South African Navy. Whilst in the area, it is definitely worthwhile visiting Boulders Beach which is home to hundreds of African penguins.
- Constantia Wine Estates: The mixture of mountain drives and valleys covered in vines, make this a stunning part of the Cape. The main estates are Buitenverwachting, Constantia Uitsig, Groot Constantia, Klein Constantia and Steenberg.

- Mountain Biking: There are escorted trips available on the mountain, around Constantia and in the Cape Point section of the Cape Peninsula National Park.

The Cape Winelands are amongst the most scenic in the world. A visual feast of lush green valleys, rugged mountains, fine cuisine and world-class wine-producing estates make up the Cape Winelands. Its many historic wine estates, characterized by classic Cape Dutch-style buildings with distinctive gables and thatched roofs, and massive vineyards date back centuries. Wine estates are bordered by the Hottentots Holland, the Franschhoek mountains and in the North by the Wemmershoekberg. The most popular and well-known are Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl. Because wine is such a personal preference, your tour will be tailor-made to your individual wine preferences.



Today you will explore some of the stunning Wine Estates of Franschhoek.
Make your way to Franschhoek Wine Tram Terminal and hop on board your Tram.
Take your pick between 5 different lines, each visiting a selection of wine estates showcasing a separate part of the Franschhoek Valley.
The Hop-on Hop-off experience allows you to curate and plan your own day. You get to choose how long you spend at each spot (within the line schedule, of course), where you eat, where you drink, and the activities you partake in.
Your experience begins at either the Franschhoek Terminal or the Groot Drakenstein Terminal (depending on the line), where you can grab a coffee, beignet and browse our merchandise while waiting for your journey to start.
From the terminals, you will be transported around your selected line’s loop of stops on a combination of double-decker tram and open-air tram-bus, allowing you to disembark when you like.



After breakfast, proceed with check-out and meet your driver at the agreed time.
Enjoy a comfortable transfer in a private vehicle to Cape Town Airport, where you will board your scheduled flight to Hoedspruit Airport.
Flights are not included in the price.
Upon arrival, collect your luggage and meet your driver in the arrivals hall for a seamless transfer to the prestigious Timbavati Private Game Reserve.
After settling into your room, savor a delightful afternoon high tea before embarking on your first afternoon game drive, where you will have the opportunity to explore the reserve and experience its remarkable wildlife up close.

Morning: Early Rise and Game Drive
- 5:00 AM – Wake-Up Call: Rise before dawn to the sounds of the African bush. A knock on your door or a gentle phone call will wake you for your morning adventure.
- 5:30 AM – Morning Tea/Coffee: Gather at the lodge for a light pre-drive refreshment. Enjoy tea, coffee, or juice, along with a light snack to fuel your early morning exploration.
- 6:00 AM – Morning Game Drive: Set out in an open safari vehicle with your expert guide and tracker. The early morning is prime time for wildlife sightings, as the animals are most active. Keep your eyes peeled for the Big Five—lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, and buffalo—along with other incredible species like cheetah, hyena, and giraffe. Your guide will share insights on the landscape, animals, and their behaviors.
- 8:30 AM – Bush Coffee Break: Midway through your game drive, stop in the bush for a warm drink and light snacks while taking in the surroundings of the African wilderness.
- 9:30 AM – Return to the Lodge & Breakfast: After an exciting morning in the bush, return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast spread, featuring both continental and hot options. Relax and recharge for the day ahead.
Midday: Relaxation and Leisure
- 11:00 AM – Leisure Time: The heat of the day is when many animals rest, and it’s a perfect time for you to do the same. Relax by the pool, take in views of the bush, or enjoy some time in your private suite. You can also join optional activities like bush walks, spa treatments, or photography sessions.
- 1:00 PM – Lunch: Enjoy a freshly prepared lunch, often served on the terrace or in the open-air dining area. The menu may feature local flavors, seasonal ingredients, and delicious South African wines.
Afternoon: High Tea and Game Drive
- 3:30 PM – Afternoon High Tea: Before heading out for your next game drive, gather for high tea, which includes a delightful spread of sweet and savory treats, along with tea, coffee, and other beverages.
- 4:00 PM – Afternoon Game Drive: Head out again into the wilderness as the temperatures cool down and animals become more active. This is an excellent time for spotting big cats, particularly leopards, which are famously elusive but often seen in Sabi Sand. Watch the landscape change as the sun begins to set, and look out for nocturnal species like owls and civets emerging.
- 6:30 PM – Sundowner Stop: As the sun dips below the horizon, your guide will stop for a classic safari tradition—the sundowner. Sip on your favorite drink as you watch the African sunset, a truly unforgettable experience.
- 7:00 PM – Return to the Lodge: After dark, return to the lodge, scanning for wildlife using spotlights to catch glimpses of creatures that are active after sunset, such as hyenas, porcupines, or even lions on the move.
Evening: Dinner and Relaxation
- 7:30 PM – Dinner: Upon return, freshen up and prepare for a delicious dinner under the stars or in the boma (an outdoor enclosure). Enjoy a variety of gourmet dishes, featuring South African flavors, expertly paired with local wines.
- 9:00 PM – Evening Fireside Relaxation: After dinner, unwind by the fire or in the lounge with a nightcap, swapping stories with fellow guests and listening to the sounds of the wild. On some nights, you may be treated to a traditional dance performance or storytelling session.
- 10:00 PM – Rest and Recharge: Retreat to your luxurious suite for a well-deserved rest, lulled to sleep by the sounds of the African bush.

Stretching through Mpumalanga, this scenic route features iconic attractions such as the Blyde River Canyon, one of the largest canyons in the world, and the awe-inspiring Three Rondavels rock formations. Along the way, travelers can marvel at the picturesque vistas of God's Window, visit the lush forests of the Mac Mac Falls, and explore charming towns like Graskop. The Panorama Route is not only a feast for the eyes but also an adventure hub, offering hiking trails, waterfalls, and opportunities for wildlife spotting, making it a must-see destination for nature lovers and thrill-seekers alike.
Your guide will drop you off at your hotel.



Today begins with an exciting early morning start as you meet your driver and head off to Mpumalanga Airport for the next leg of your adventure.
You’ll board a scheduled flight to the iconic Victoria Falls, known as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. As you arrive, prepare to clear immigration and collect your luggage, with the anticipation of seeing this breathtaking destination growing.
For Australian passport holders, a visa is required to enter Zimbabwe, and it can easily be obtained on arrival for just US$30 per person (payable in cash).
Once through, your driver will be waiting in the arrivals hall, ready to whisk you away to your hotel, where the adventure continues amidst the natural beauty and wonder of Victoria Falls.



After a leisurely breakfast, meet your knowledgeable guide in the hotel reception. Embark on a Private Guided Tour of Victoria Falls, where you’ll explore this stunning natural wonder up close.
As you stroll along the scenic pathways, your guide will share fascinating insights into the history, geology, and cultural significance of the Falls. You’ll witness the thundering cascades of water plunging over the edge, creating a mesmerizing mist that dances in the sunlight. Listen to the roar of the water and feel the refreshing spray on your skin as you take in the breathtaking views from various vantage points.
Following your tour, it’s time for an exhilarating 13-minute helicopter flight over the falls. Strap in and soar above the cascading waters, where you’ll experience a bird’s-eye view of this natural marvel. The vast expanse of the Zambezi River and the lush landscape surrounding the falls unfold beneath you, creating an unforgettable panorama that will leave you in awe.

Enjoy the wind in your hair as you drive through the Zambezi National Park in a classic safari vehicle. As you wind your way down dirt roads, you'll leave civilization behind you, disconnect from the modern world and embrace a timeless adventure.
Safari Sundowners
Nourish your body and soul as you enjoy a quintessential safari sundowner. A Gin and Tonic is the perfect pairing for the vibrant African sunset and refreshing evening breeze.
Evening Game Drive
Make your way back to the bustling City of Victoria Falls while enjoying a leisurely game drive through the surrounding wilderness.
Drop Off: 7:00pm
Your guide will drop you off at your hotel in time to reconnect to the modern world and share your days adventures before setting off for you evenings activities.

After enjoying breakfast, check out and meet your driver for a transfer across the border into Chobe, Botswana.
Once you arrive at the Kasane Immigration, a Chobe Princess staff member will meet you and help you with formalities at passport control as you exit Botswana. You’ll then be transferred by a smaller tender boat, with a Chobe Princess staff member, to the Namibian Immigration Office at Impalila Island. You then need to get your passport stamped at the Namibian Immigration Office. Please wear comfortable shoes, as there is a short walk to the immigration office on the island.
Australian passport holders do not require a visa to enter Botswana or Namibia.
- Make sure that you get your passport stamped at the border when you enter Botswana
- You’ll then be met by a representative who will help with your luggage and transfer you to the Kasane Immigration Office (KIO) in an air-conditioned vehicle
- Once you arrive at KIO, a Zambezi Queen Collection staff member will meet you and help with formalities at passport control as you exit Botswana
- You’ll then be transferred by a smaller tender boat with a Zambezi Queen Collection staff member to the Namibian Immigration Office
- You then need to get your passport stamped at the Namibian Immigration Office. Please wear comfortable shoes, as there is a short walk to the immigration office
If you arrive with the 13:00 and 14:00 transfers, you’ll be served lunch, while if you’re transferred at 15:00 or 16:00 you’ll be served a selection of snacks. Once all our guests have boarded in the late afternoon, and if the weather permits, we’ll go in search of some big game. This is the perfect time of day to make the most of that golden glow of the African sunset by getting some iconic shots of the animals as they gravitate towards the river before night falls.
After the sunset cruise returns back on board and freshen up before meeting your Captain on the upper deck. After a safety briefing, you’ll make your way to the dining room where you’ll be served a delicious three-course plated dinner along with an excellent choice of wines. Finish off with a hot drink or nightcap at the bar before retiring to the night sounds of Africa in the distance.



We know that some guests like to watch the sunrise as they sip on their coffee while others like to take a more leisurely approach. That’s why we let you choose your morning activities, depending on the type of holiday you’re searching for. Perhaps you want to enjoy a water-based safari or a village tour on the Namibian side of the river? Or perhaps you’d prefer a spot of bird watching or fishing instead? Or for the more adventurous a walking tour to a 2000-year-old baobab tree? You may even decide to simply remain on board as the Chobe Princess houseboat glides its way along the banks of the Chobe River.
After your morning activities, enjoy lunch on board while using your unique vantage point to spot wild animals and drink in the expansive views. Join our guide in the afternoon for a water-based safari on a tender boat where you can get up close to an array of wildlife, including some of the 120 000 elephants for which the Chobe is well known. After a delicious dinner, settle down for a restful and tranquil night in your cabin.



After breakfast, the Chobe Princess will dock.
As you disembark, you will be met by a driver and transferred to Kasane Airport for you onward flight.
