Upon your arrival at Victoria Falls Airport, you will be welcomed and transferred by road to your accommodation in Hwange National Park, Nantwich Lodge. This Hwange game lodge, situated in the Northwest corner of the park overlooks a large dam with resident crocodile and hippo, boasting one of the best views in Hwange National Park.
Spend your time exploring this vast reserve, discovering secluded hides and waterholes where wildlife roams freely. Enjoy the unique opportunity to venture on guided bush walks (bush walks are seasonal), immersing yourself in the sights, sounds, and scents of the wild. Our safari hide offers a perfect vantage point for quiet observation, bringing you up close to nature.
You will also have the opportunity to experience night-time game drives on our private concession where our skilled and enthusiastic guides will use their expert knowledge to reveal the secrets of the bush and ensure that your safari experience is thrillingly unforgettable.
This morning after breakfast you will be transferred to Victoria Falls, for your overnight at Ilala Lodge. During your time in Vic Falls, you will have the opportunity for a guided tour of the falls, as well as to enjoy a spectacular sunset cruise on the Zambezi River. if time allows, there are also various optional activities available on offer.
Explore Vic Falls town to discover this laid-back travel hub where you can visit charming cafes or bustling markets. Find the best spot to view the Victoria Falls and be dazzled by the roar of the “Smoke that Thunders”. Feel the cool spray of the fine mist that rises meters above mighty falls where thousands of litres of water plunge down a steep gorge, gouging out a winding canyon below.

Popular optional activities on offer in Victoria Falls include a scenic Helicopter Flight, Flying Fox (Cable Slide), Gorge Swing, Bungee Jumping, Zip Lining, Bridge Slide as well as the Canopy Tour. Pre-booking is recommended to avoid disappointment. All activities are subject to availability and may require a minimum amount of passengers to operate. Today, transfer by road to Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Airport for your flight to Mfuwe Airport (flight is a seperate cost).
On arrival at Mfuwe Airport, you will be met and transferred to Tafika Main Camp where you will spend the next three nights. The Camp, located on the east bank of the Luangwa River, makes it ideal for those who enjoy the serenity of the bush. It serves as an ideal peaceful starting point for visitors to experience game drives, walking safaris as well as unique cycling trails. The variety of animal species guarantees a memorable African adventure.
During your stay at Tafika Main Camp, your days are filled with activities, including morning, afternoon and evening game drives, providing opportunities to witness the park's wildlife. Guided walking safaris will bring you even closer to nature, while cycling safaris offer a unique perspective of the surroundings. You'll also have the opportunity to experience the local culture with a visit to the nearby Mkasanga village.
The camp has 2 hides which offer the opportunity of game viewing in-between activities. The hides overlook the camp waterhole which is often frequented by herds of elephant during August to November.
Our seasonal Carmine bee-eater hide (September through to October) offers great photographic opportunities of the colorful breeding colony.
Our safari ends after breakfast. You will be transferred by road to Mfuwe Airport, where you will depart on your flight back to Kenneth Kaunda International Airport, for your onward journey home. We hope to welcome you again one day on another of our African adventures!
