Day 1: The Amazon Ecuador

Departure from Quito to Coca on a 30 minute flight. After landing, you will embark a motor boat and ridealong the Napo River for about 4 hours, where a box lunch will be provided to eat. Along the way you may see various species of endemic fauna such as toucans, parrots or even macaws. Late afternoon arrival at the lodge

Day 2: The Amazon Ecuador

Early in the morning, you begin with a visit to the parrot clay licks, where you can see many species of parrot (such as Amazon–Mealy, blue headed, orange cheek, among others) landingon the earth to eat the clay minerals. Later you will take a short hike to the Kichwa Community of Añangu, to learn about their culture and traditions. After this activity, you we hike through a Terra-firme forest tovisit a second parrot clay lick. Then you will be paddled back to the lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 3: The Amazon Ecuador

After an early buffet breakfast, we visit the 36 meter canopy tower, located deep within the forest, where you will see various species of birds such as tanagers, macaws, toucans, flycatchers and even spider or howler monkeys in the nearby trees. Return to the lodge for a typical Ecuadorian lunch. Free afternoon. During the late afternoon we hike through a marvellous terra – firme forest to discoverthe tropical rain forest ecosystem and spot wildlife. After the hike, explore the surrounding creeks. Dinner and rest.

Day 4: End of Itinerary

Early departure from the lodge,via motorized canoe along the Napo River, back to Coca City where you will take your flight back to Quito.
