On arrival at the Cape Town airport, you will be met by an English speaking Guide who will assist you to the coach for our transfer to the hotel.

Once at the hotel, you will have a chance to check-in and freshen up before they are collected for their transfer to dinner this evening.

The Rockefeller Hotel

Designed to be lived in, designed to be enjoyed, The Rockefeller comprises expertly designed luxury apartments located on the Cape Town Foreshore. Following on the success of Harbour House in Kalk Bay, the vibrant V&A Waterfront provided the perfect location for the second Harbour House. The same elements that made the original Harbour House such a success were recreated at the V&A, with a few changes to accommodate the buzzing Waterfront scene. Diners downstairs enjoy the cool competence of a top-class culinary experience, while the upper deck with its deep marine blue and white couches, sumptuous sushi platters and cocktails provide the perfect escape from ‘mall madness’. An oasis with, once again, a spectacular view of the working harbour around it.

This tour will include a stop at Cape Point, also known as the Cape of Good Hope, which is where two oceans meet - The Indian and Atlantic oceans. You will have the opportunity to take a funicular to the highest viewing point so that you can take in the scenery from above.

Another stop in Hout Bay to do a short boat cruise to view the seal colony that resides there as well as a visit to Boulders beach to see the penguin colony. This is said to be the largest penguin colony in the southern hemisphere.

  • Optional: a Penguin Paddle (canoeing amongst the penguins)

A stop will be made in Simon's Town for to enjoy lunch. @ Seaforth Restaurant

Set on the white sands of Seaforth Beach in Simon's Town, with stunning views of the mountains and False Bay, and penguins to entertain you, Seaforth Restaurant is a spectacular dining venue on the water's edge. Seaforth Restaurant offers you the opportunity to delight in the fruits of the sea, or a range of platters fit for the most discerning palate. Experience It! Seaforth Restaurant was designed to maximize the unique position on the edge of the water, providing each patron with a stunning view. The layout of the facility consists of general seating, the gunroom enclosed deck area and an outside deck area just metres above the sea at high tide, the perfect place for a meal or a sundowner cocktail, which the restaurant is renowned for.

The peninsula tour would be incomplete without a drive over Chapman's Peak to take in the incredible view of the

Cape's coastline. A stop will be made along the route to capture the moment.

At the end of the day you will have a chance to freshen up at the hotel before continuing to dinner.

Waterfront Adventures Champagne Cruise offers a unique trip around Cape Town harbour. The cruise provides spectacular views of Table Mountain that cannot be experienced on land. The cruise is ideal for those who wish to return before dinner while the sun is still out. A complimentary glass of champagne is provided when boarding the boat and a cash bar is available on board for those that require an extra glass or two. Cruises are either 60 minutes or 90 minutes in length, and departure times may vary.

10h00  Meeting Food Lovers Group in a conference room at the hotel where you can exchange ideas and discuss your respective insights into the industry. After the meeting you will proceed to a site inspection of 1 or more of the Food Lovers Stores to see what they offer.

Visit of a wine estate in Stellenbosch for a tasting and light lunch.

Check-in hotel and some free time at leisure to enjoy the hotel.

Today you will explore the Babylonstoren estate which has a host of things that may interest the group - from their farming methods to the workshops that they offer.

This morning will be spent enjoy time at the estate before enjoying a light lunch.

Babylonstoren is one of the oldest Cape Dutch farms. It has a fruit and vegetable garden of beauty and diversity, unique accommodation, fine food and a sense of wellbeing.

Day 7: Kapama Private Game Reserve

Domestic flight from Cape Town to Hoedspruit (1h flight)

On arrival in Hoedspruit, you will be met by the game rangers from Kapama and assisted to the waiting game vehicles for the transfer to the lodge. You will experience a mini-game drive en route to the lodge and the rangers will be sure to stop should there be any good sightings!
Once at the lodge, you will have time to relax and settle in before the afternoon game drive.

A selection of light snacks and beverages will be served shortly before everyone departs on game drive.

Kapama River Lodge 

Kapama Game Reserve is located in close proximity to Eastgate Airport with the lodge providing open vehicle transfers. Kapama's location in the central Lowveld region creates the perfect base from which to explore the numerous nearby attractions. The northern Drakensberg mountain range provides a majestic backdrop to this contemporary private game lodge in the Greater Kruger National Park region. Day 8: Kapama Private Game Reserve

You will receive early morning wake up calls today to get ready for a morning game drive which will departaround 06h00am.

The bush comes to life early so it’s best to get a headstart on the day.

Optional: Hot Air Balloon

Kapama Game Reserve is comprised of 13 000 hectares of sweeping wilderness near to the majestic Drakensberg Mountains. One can experience magnificent views of the swarming wildlife and beautiful African landscape via a slightly bumpy but memorable hot air balloon ride. The luxurious giant candy-striped balloon lifts off at first morning light and drifts at the mercy of the wind for about an hour across the sprawling green reserve.

You will be able to enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. There is a fantastic Spa at Kapama that offers numerous treatments should guests want to enjoy a massage in the tranquil setting of the bush.

This afternoon you will depart on another game drive which will stop at a private location for a dinner in the bush 

A private and intimate setting for dinner listening to the melodic sounds of a marimba band as the crickets chirp merrily in the background is a perfect way to bid farewell to the African bushveld.

Visit Mandela House

Mandela House is a museum in the heart of Soweto, South Africa. It was the former home of Nelson Mandela, a freedom fighter and South Africa's first democratically elected president. The museum offers a glimpse into the life and struggles of Mandela and the apartheid era. Visitors can explore the rooms, including the living room, kitchen and bedroom, and see family photos and personal belongings. The museum also has an exhibition on the history of Soweto, including the 1976 student uprising. A visit to Mandela House is a moving and educational experience, providing a powerful reminder of South Africa's fight for freedom and the legacy of its most famous son.
