Night Drive
Morning safari in Tarangire National Park. Then cross the Great Rift Valley and enter Ngorongoro Conservation area where you will spend the night on the crater rim for early access into the crater next morning.
Discuss a walk in Mto Mwa Mbu Village with your guide in the morning. He will stop in the village along the way and you pay the local guide directly.
Get an early start and descend into Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the location of the Big-5. Return to the crater rim for overnight.
Your lodge is located on the rim of the crater which allows you to be amongst the very first people entering the crater in the morning. Most tourists are in lodges 1.5 hour away. Being first in the crater means less people in the morning and better lighting for picture taking.
Head for the endless plains of the Northern Serengeti by bush plane. Take in a birds-eye view of the Serengeti, an experience you will never forget. Search to spot elephants, giraffe or herds of wildebeest.
Say good-bye to your guide and private vehicle after he brings you to the airstrip to fly north.
You will be expected in the Northern Serengeti by your new guide with an open sided vehicle. You will share the safari vehicle with other guests staying at your lodge.
Note: Please note that within the safari tent is a bathroom area. Inside the toilet area is a ceramic flushing toilet. The shower is operated with water from a 5.2 gallon PVC bucket. This bucket will be filled with hot water from the outside. You let the staff know when you like to take a shower and they bring the water to the outside. It is common for mobile safari camps to not have the water coming to the shower in a pipe to avoid digging the ground. You can request 2 buckets water of course.
Search the Serengeti for the famous wildebeest migration.
Optional Hot Air Balloon Safari: US$599pp
