Day 1: Pilanesberg National Park

Early breakfast, check out and we will transfer to Cape Town airport for a flight to Johannebsurg.  08h00 flight arriving at OR Tambo Airport, at 10h00. At OR Tambo we collect our luggage and then meet our bus driver and get in the bus for a 2h30 air conditioned transfer to the Pilanesberg National Park.  We will arrive at the lodge by bus,  in time for a delicious lunch. You will be welcomed by the staff, checked in and have a chance to settle in and relax before your first activity.

At 15h00 we will gather in the lounge for a spot of tea and get ready to go on our first safari drive. This drive we will track the Big Five and at some point stop for drinks and snacks as the sun goes down. After this, we will drive on under the starry African skies, tracking animals using a spotlight. On arrival we freshen up and have dinner under the stars or in the dining room depending on the weather.

Day 2: Pilanesberg National Park

This morning we wake up early for a quick coffee/tea and snack before departing on our morning safari drive. This usually takes about three hours and is the best time of day to see the Big Five…and many other animals. We then head back to camp for a big breakfast after which there is time to relax in camp, at the pool, in the lounge or in your room. Or if you have energy there are optional activities to choose from (these are for guests own account). Lunch will be served in between.

We then gather again as a group to get ready for tea and our second daily safari drive, which includes a stop for drinks and snacks as the sun goes down. We head back to camp in the dark of night, tracking animals via spotlight. We have dinner under the stars in the boma to round off a big day on safari.

Day 3: Pilanesberg National Park

Day 4: End of Itinerary

After one final game drive this morning, it is farewell to your safari. We have a hearty breakfast, then check out and take the bus transfer by road to Johannesburg's OR Tambo Airport. Here we check in for flights onwards, with plenty of time to check in for international flights onward and home this evening. Some will overnight in nearby hotels and be transferred to those hotels. It is time to say "Hamba Kahle, Totsiens, Cheers and Go Well!"
