Departing Windhoek we travel north stopping at the large open air market of Okahandja with its many local wood carvings. Mid afternoon we arrive to our lodge on the edge of Etosha National Park.
The park’s main characteristic is a salt pan so large it can be seen from space. Yet there is abundant wildlife that congregates around the waterholes.
This Park is one of the most important reserves and game sanctuaries in Africa with thousands of wild animals such as blue wildebeest, springbok, zebra, kudu, giraffe, cheetah, leopard, lion and elephant making this area their home.
Late afternoon of arrival we enjoy a sundowner drive from the lodge.
Day 3 we enjoy a morning and an afternoon 4x4 game drives inside the Eastern sector of the Park. We explore the many waterholes in the Eastern sector of the Park.
