After a sumptuous breakfast, you’ll transfer to Wilson Airport to board a private charter flight to Rubondo Island, Tanzania. With your private pilot at the helm, this scenic journey over forested shores and glittering lakes is sure to be an unforgettable part of the adventure.
On arrival, you’ll be warmly welcomed by an Asilia representative and transferred to Rubondo Island Camp, tucked within the heart of this lush tropical paradise. The island’s pristine forests are alive with wildlife, chimpanzees, Colobus monkeys, elephant, and over 300 species of birds, from fish eagles to African grey parrots.

Spend your afternoons unwinding on the deck, cooling off in the swimming pool, or heading out onto the waters of Lake Victoria for a birdwatching safari or a catch-and-release fishing experience in the deeper waters. This morning, you’ll board your private charter flight to Kihihi Airstrip, where an Asilia representative will be waiting to welcome you and transfer you to Erebero Hills, a serene retreat perched at the edge of Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

Perfectly positioned for gorilla trekking and forest walking, Erebero Hills offers easy access to two key departure points into the forest. After a soul-stirring day spent hiking in search of mountain gorillas, return to camp to unwind with a restorative massage or take in sweeping views of the forest canopy from the heated swimming pool.
Together with your fellow travellers, you’ll also have the chance to connect with the Batwa community, the forest’s original custodians. Explore their traditional knowledge of native plants, learn about tea cultivation, honey harvesting, and basket weaving, and witness how these practices are being revitalised through a dedicated reforestation project.
Savour a final breakfast with panoramic views of the forest canopy, taking in the peaceful atmosphere one last time. You’ll then journey to Kihihi Airstrip for your flight to Entebbe, where you’ll connect with your onward travel arrangements.
