Day 1: Cathedral Peak Nature Reserve

We depart from Durban and travel a mere 3 hours from the city to find ourselves in the magnificent Drakensberg Mountains. Spectacular vistas, breathtaking scenery and diverse flora and fauna are what you can look forward to experiencing for the next two days. Check in at your hotel, rest of day at leisure.

Day 2: Cathedral Peak Nature Reserve

Today is your day to decide what appeals to you most! Perhaps it’s a full day hike into the mountains accompanied by a local mountain guide, or for those who are not quite so energetic, a relaxing day at your accommodation, experiencing the various facilities on offer such as tennis, enjoying the swimming pool or booking an optional horse-ride. Whatever your choice, you can look forward to experiencing a day filled with amazing scenery, spectacular vistas and the most diverse flora and fauna!

Day 3: End of Itinerary

The morning is at leisure. You will be collected by your guide, and we depart via one of South Africa’s premier tourist routes – The Midlands Meander - famous for its Ethnic Art, Weaving, Leather Work, Pottery, Wind Chimes, Hand Crafted Furniture and a host of other intriguing skills and crafts! We are able to spend an hour or two on the Meander discovering its treasures, before continuing our journey via Howick and return to Durban in the late afternoon. A lunch stop will be made during the course of the day (for own account).
