Day 1: Johannesburg

Welcome to South Africa!

You will be welcomed by a driver in the arrivals hall at OR Tambo International Airport. Your driver will be dropping you at your first destination, The Peech Hotel, in the suburb of Melrose North.

Should your room not be ready on arrival, you may freshen up and your luggage can be stored.

You will then embark on a half day tour of Johannesburg, the "City of Gold".  Enjoy an orientation tour of Johannesburg City with a special visit to Soweto, where you will also visit the Hector Pieterson Museum. 

Upon return, check into your room at your Boutique Hotel in the quiet suburb of Johannesburg and you may end the day with a dinner at the Hotel Restaurant (optional).

Day 2: Lowveld

Sun. 2 Mar 2025

After breakfast and check out, you will be picked up by a driver that will transfer you to the Lowveld Region of South Africa, where the picturesque Panorama Route, as well the the world renowned Kruger National Park, are situated.

Check in at the Lodge and the rest of the day is at your disposal.

You just might like to relax at the pool or should you feel energetic, there are some optional activities available such as a visit to Chimp Eden, the Sudwala Caves or the Lowveld Botanical Gardens.

 

Day 3: Lowveld

Mon. 3 Mar 2025

Today you will embark on your Safari adventure. 

The full day guided tour in an open 4x4 Safari vehicle will take you into the Kruger National Park.

Have your binoculars and camera at hand, as you might be able to see the famous Big 5 - Lion, Elephant, Buffalo, Rhino and the shy leopard.

As the animals are free roaming, you might not spot all of them, but there are many more big and small animals to admire. Zebras, Giraffes, Antelope, Vultures, Baboons and lots of small, beautiful and interesting creatures. Let yourself be mesmerised by the beauty of the African Bush.

Day 4: Lowveld

The beautiful Panorama Route awaits you.

You will be going on a full day Panorama Route guided Tour today.

Explore one of the most beautiful areas of the country and enjoy many impressive sightings:
Bourke's Luck Potholes, Blyde River Canyon, Three Rondavels, Pilgrims Rest, Gods' Window, various waterfalls, e.g. MacMac & Lisbon Falls and also the Gorge Lift in Graskop.

There is indeed a lot to see and you will certainly be able to gather plenty of new impressions.

And a stop at Harrie's Pancakes in Graskop is a must! 

 

Day 5: Cape Town

Wed. 5 Mar 2025

After breakfast and check out you will be transferred to Kruger Mpumalanga Airport and board a scheduled flight to Cape Town where a driver will welcome and transfer you to your hotel at the V&A Waterfront in the heart of Cape Town.

Welcome to Cape Town, also called "Mother City", a wonderful melting pot of different people, cultures, religions and colours.

Settle in and enjoy the rest of the day at your hotel or go and explore the lively waterfront complex with plenty of shops, restaurants and cafes.

A worthwhile visit is the Time Out Food Market and the Watershed Market, where you will find plenty of arts & crafts, souvenirs, but also food stalls.

Day 6: Cape Town

Thu. 6 Mar 2025

Your Driver Guide will take you on a wonderful Cape Peninsula Tour today.

You will drive through the prestigious Atlantic seaboard areas of Clifton & Camps Bay and Llundudno, via Hout Bay onto one of the worlds most scenic routes, the Chapman's Peak Drive (depending on seasonal conditions).

In Noordhoek you will have the opportunity to see Ostriches before you make your way to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve & Cape Point.

After some time at this very, but not the most, Southern Tip of Africa, you will continue your journey to the Penguin Colony at Boulders Beach, then the seaside towns Simonstown and Muizenberg and continue via False Bay to the scenic country site of the Constantia Winelands.

Lastly a short visit to the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, before you head back to your hotel.

Day 7: Cape Town

Fri. 7 Mar 2025

Today you will be exploring the inner city. You will start at the Castel of Good Hope with the City Hall and then Continue to the Company Gardens, where you go for a little stroll, before visiting the South African Museum.

After this you will be going up the the most colourful part of town, the old Cape Malay Quarter or also called Bo-Kaap, a former racially segregated area, situated on the slopes of Signal Hill above the city centre and is a historical centre of Cape Malay culture in Cape Town.

Visit Greenmarket Square with all its vendors of beautiful African arts and crafts and make your way up to Signal Hill and / or Table Mountain, Cape Towns famous icon. You will take the cable way up and a most thrilling view awaits you over the Mother City, Table Bay and the surrounding areas.

The day comes to an end and you can relax at the V&A for a lovely dinner (optional).

Day 8: Cape Town

Sat. 8 Mar 2025

On your last day you will be heading out into the the romantic Winelands on a guided tour. 

Visit the historic town centre of Stellenbosch and enjoy a cellar tour and, if not too early, an optional chocolate & wine paring.

Your next stop will be in Franschhoek, the "French corner", named so after the Huguenots that fled France and found refuge here. Glance at the Huguenot Monument and enjoy a wine tasting at one of Franschhoeks' wonderful Wine Farms.

Last but not least you will be making your way to Paarl, where you will be enjoying a cheese & winetasting before you head back to Cape Town

Day 9: End of Itinerary

Its time to say Good Bye!

We trust you had a wonderful time in South Africa and packed many beautiful memories into your suitcases.

You will be collected at your hotel and transferred to Cape Town International Airport for your return or onward flight (not included).
