Epic Classic South Africa - 2025

On arrival at OR Tambo International Airport  in Johannesburg, you clear customs and immigration.  You then make the short walk across the road to the Intercontinental Hotel, where you will spend the night. The hotel is located directly opposite international arrivals.

The balance of the day is at leisure.

Overnight - Intercontinental Hotel

After breakfast, you make your way to the Federal Air Hanger in time for your flight to Londolozi.  Flight time is about an hour.

On arrival at the Tanda Tula airstrip you enjoy a quick 20-minute transfer will take you to Tanda Tula Safari Camp.

Enjoy lunch on arrival and time to settle into your accommodation.

High tea is served at about 3pm on the main deck, and then you will head out for your first game drive.

Return to camp in time for dinner.

Overnight - Tanda Tula Safari Camp

Tanda Tula, meaning to love the quiet, is inspired by the people and wildlife-rich region of the Greater Kruger National Park. This is a safari business that has been around for more than 30 years and thanks to committed owners and a strong team is regarded as one of the best camps in South Africa. 

Strategically positioned on the banks of the Nhlaralumi River, Tanda Tula provides awe-inspiring views of the surrounding wildlife and natural landscapes. 

The Timbavati Private Nature Reserve is regarded as one of the top safari destinations in South Africa. The reserve comprises of individual landholders who together have formed a protected area of over 53 000 hectares (131 000 acres) of unspoilt natural wilderness adjoining the Kruger National Park in an open eco-system. The Timbavati is a highly professional and well managed reserve, that protects sustainable populations of many endangered species such as black and white rhinoceros, pangolins, saddlebilled storks, southern ground hornbills and many others.

Overnight - Tanda Tula Safari Camp 

After a final game drive and breakfast this morning, you will be transferred back to the airstrip for your flight to Kruger Mpumalanga Airport.

Here, you will board your scheduled flight to Cape Town.

Once in Cape Town, you will be met and transferred to The Queen Victoria Hotel, which is about 30 minutes away, depending on traffic.

Arrive and check in, and the balance of the day will be at leisure.

Home to South Africa’s first mosque, oldest wine farm, a 350-year-old garden and timelessly beautiful beaches, it’s no surprise the legendary Flying Dutchman and his spectral ship have spent eternity sailing the city’s shores.

This morning, after breakfast, you will travel an hour out of Cape Town to the beautiful La Cle Des Montagnes.

You check in and spend the afternoon exploring this beautiful property.

Situated on a working wine estate, in the beautiful Franschhoek Valley, La Clé Des Montagnes is a four minutes’ walk to the centre of the Franschhoek village.

Sink into absolute relaxation, play a spot of tennis, or hop on a bicycle and leisurely cycle through the picturesque surrounds. Meander through the sprawling garden, walk on vineyard trails and jump into a helicopter for breathtaking excursions over the winelands. Sip a Pimm’s and play Boules and Croquet, cool off in the dams shaded by willow trees, savour a wine tasting and just absorb the beauty of your surroundings together.

Overnight - La Cle Des Montages

Today you will be transferred to Cape Town Airport to connect with your home-bound flight and depart Africa.
